X2 description. Review and testing of the smartphone Nokia X2 Dual SIM

Nokia's Android "X" line is evolving - the X2 model has become even more similar to Windows Phonethan its predecessor - Model X. But at the same time it has become closer to Android - now there are two buttons under the screen - "back" and "home", and not the strange lonely "back", as before. Let's see how the Finnish manufacturer is trying to attract those who dream of "Android with an interface like WindowsFon"!

Nokia X2 Dual SIM :: Review :: Design and features

X2 is another "phone in a box", its back cover is combined with the side walls, forming a "box" into which the phone itself is put and snapped on. This system has been used by a Finnish manufacturer for more than one year, and has been polished to perfection - a smartphone in this design is durable, monolithic, does not emit squeaks, and at the same time it can be easily removed to replace a SIM card, memory or battery - without broken nails and various kinds of application auxiliary gizmos, as it once was. "Box" X-Second is made of two layers - colored plastic is covered with a transparent layer. The result is a stylish "floating" effect, a la amber, looks interesting coupled with bright colors - acid green, orange and yellow. Classic black and white are also available in colors, but they do not look so extravagant.

The X2 is an inexpensive model, so no special efforts were made to make the case thinner and the bezels around the display narrower ... The bezels are obviously too big - especially at the bottom, where the buttons are located under the screen. By the way, there are now two buttons, and not one, as on the previous Nokia X (there was only a back button in the form of a checkmark lying on its side). In the X2, it was supplemented by the home button familiar on any smartphone, leading to main screen... The buttons are touch-sensitive, but, unfortunately, no backlight.

The rest of the device is quite traditional - the volume and power buttons are located on the right side, the headphone and microUSB jacks are on the top, the left and bottom are empty.

The rear panel has a large opening for a camera (like a solid camera phone!), An LED flash and a speaker cutout. Interestingly, the speaker slot does not have pimples-"legs" that create a gap when the phone is lying on a smooth surface (so that the sound does not shut up), but there is no need for them - even on the table with the display upward, the bell sounds loudly!

Removing the filling from the case - a training sticker is pasted on the back cover:

Cover - "box"

The insides of the apparatus:

The glossy plastic is beautiful, and in vibrant colors, it doesn't tend to accumulate prints (cool!) But is slippery. Taking a smartphone off the table with dry fingers is sometimes difficult - it strives to slip out!

Nokia X2 Dual SIM :: Review :: Display

The screen of Nokia X2 is not bad, but miracles should not be expected - it corresponds to the moderate price of a budget gadget. If someone in 2014 forgot what a single pixel looks like - great, you can take a look! :) In X2, the points that make up the image are clearly visible with the naked eye, because they are large and their number is small. 480x800 pixels on a large 4.3-inch screen is only 217 pixels per inch (PPI), which is really not enough in today's times.

At the same time, the low-pixelity is harmoniously compensated for by the excellent brightness and richness of the IPS-matrix with wide viewing angles, which works in conjunction with Nokia's proprietary technology ClearBlack - the polarizing layer gives a high-quality (although not Amoledov's, of course!) Black color, and removes glare, and the ClearBlack software part controls the contrast based on the light sensor signal. Unlocking the X2 display is carried out not only after pressing the Power button, but also by the proprietary Nokia double tapping on the screen.

Nokia X2 Dual SIM :: Review :: operating system

The “X” line of “hybrid” smartphones is not yet well known, and most of the technically savvy acquaintances I interviewed were unable to explain the essence of the Nokia X operating system, its interface and the application ecosystem ...

Therefore, we will explain what will have to be explained, I think, in more than one review - Nokia X is a clever "nod" towards the supporters of Android smartphones, the compromise to which the Nokia and Microsoft consortium decided to "move" without changing the fundamental positions of the line Lumia and windows systems Phone. Actually, "xOS" is a proprietary Nokia trick that allows you to bite off a piece of the "world android pie", while ... distancing itself from it and "saving face." It seems to be Android, but it seems not ... This move is a double-edged sword, because until now most people believe that today "there is no Android on Noki - there is Windows Phone and some other operating system of its own." Who is right and to what extent?

First you need to understand the main thing - the look and interface of any operating system is not a dogma. On top of the operating system, you can install so-called "shells" that can radically change the appearance and even the algorithms for use. There are and are written many shells - with their help it is easy to make "iPhone" from an android smartphone (only visually, of course!), Or from Linux - Windows (again, only in the sense of an interface, not an entity!). The same is done in the Nokia X-series smartphones. The system properties say "Platform version - Nokia X software platform 2.0", but in fact it is a shell based on Android 4.3. But visually, it very closely copies the "Metro" interface, which is characteristic of Windows Phone.

The main internal difference is the absence of all branded google services, the ideological rival of Microsoft. Maps, mail, Google social networking projects, built-in google search everywhere, etc. - this is not. At the same time, there are no significant inconveniences - the Google page quietly opens in the browser, clients of any social networks are downloaded from the App Store, instead of online Google maps, a hundred times cooler Nokia maps that work without the Internet are built in, etc.

Nokia X2 Dual SIM :: Review :: App Store

There is no Google Play store in X2, but it is, in essence, a game of formalities. PlayMarket has not been the only source of programs for android smartphones for a long time, applications have long since spread among many "resellers", in terms of trade. Nokia X has just a Store (Nokia's own bank of applications, with programs selected by the manufacturer), Yandex.Store, where there are hundreds of thousands of them, and you can also install other alternative stores! Almost any application available on PlayMarket can be obtained on Nokia X (with rare exceptions). And what is traditionally free will remain free, regardless of the download source. The only inconvenience is that to search for this or that not very common program, you will have to rummage in two or three or four stores, and not in one, as in the case of PlayMarket in ordinary android smartphones. However, when it comes to the most popular programs - social network clients, games, browsers, players, file managers, etc. then they are on the first pages in ANY markets - in the regular, and in "Yandex", and in others.

Both the regular Store and Yandex.Store have dozens of different Twitter clients. But only Yandex.Store has an original Twitter client not from third-party developers, but from the microblogging network itself - it is not in the Nokiev store:

However, it must be admitted that with sufficiently successfully filled app stores, there are still less programs in the Nokia and Yandex stores than in Google play! And a situation in which your friend / colleague s an ordinary android smartphone will launch some application or game, and you simply won't find it in any of the markets with Nokia X2 - it's quite real.

Nokia X2 Dual SIM :: Review :: Interface and menu

The first Nokia model from the X-line was only remotely similar to Windows Phone, and it was not particularly convenient to call it. All applications are on the home screen, a single "back" button, etc. X2 really practically copies the interface of Windows Phone - it consists of three working screens that change horizontally.

In the center is the main home screen, on which icons-tiles of frequently used applications are placed. There you can arrange them in a convenient order, group them into folders, change the size and color of the icons.

To the left of the main screen, there is a secondary screen "Recent", which displays everything that happens to the phone - messages about missed calls and received SMS and letters, about installing new applications and updates, etc. appear on it.

To the right of the main screen is a screen where ALL installed applications are located, endless sausage, without grouping - only in alphabetical order. From this screen, applications can be launched, removed from the phone, or added to the home screen.

Three home screens together:

In "X", as in any "android", swiping your finger across the screen from top to bottom brings up the quick adjustments panel - wireless networks, brightness, etc. Recent notifications are also displayed there, just like on the "Recent" screen.

Pressing and holding the "Back" button brings up a list of recently launched applications, from where they can be called up again or forcibly closed.

Apps installed by default out of the box. There are not so many of them, and there are no unusual or cool paid ones among them. But due to the "Windows Phone" location in the endless sausage, to view them you need to scroll the screen a dozen times, which creates the illusion of a huge number of them ...

Nokia X2 Dual SIM :: Review :: Main functions

Call service. Dual-SIM functionality is implemented traditionally for most modern smartphones. You can see contacts from both SIM cards, you can bind certain contacts to a specific number, when you call the device prompts you to select the required SIM card.

Mail. There is no universal mail client - there is no Gmail client, like other Google services, in Nokia X2.

File manager. There is no full-time manager - the well-known Astro is preinstalled as it - in the free version with advertising. You can install any other.

Music and radio. Three applications - music player, FM radio and MixRadio. With the first two, everything is clear, and with the third ... everything is also clear, but only to those who know about this proprietary Nokia application. MixRadio is a music store, which is interesting because, in addition to buying albums and songs for cash, it allows you to download collections of thematic mixes via Wi-Fi or 3G for free and listen to them offline at any time.

Gallery. The Gallery application is responsible for photos and videos. Everything is in order with the photo, but the video is so-so ... Support for a mass of popular container formats - AVI, Matroska, MP4, etc. is declared, but there is no real omnivorousness. MKV starts up, but it slows down terribly, other videos play sound, but no video, or vice versa ... Like many androids, you will need to install a bunch of different players from the Markets, and experiment with them ...

Browser. Not too comfortable. Displaying the page is possible in both portrait and landscape orientations, but at the same time, if you bring up all open pages from landscape orientation, the screen is forced to rotate to portrait ... The installation of Opera suggests itself.

HERE navigation. The famous Nokiev navigation. Classics and perfection! There are no complaints here - maps of all countries of the world, car and pedestrian voice navigation, a lot of different services and goodies.

Nokia X2 Dual SIM :: Review :: Camera

Nokia X2 is not a camera phone. His camera is designed only for light shooting conditions, it works slowly, it makes a terrible noise at dusk. There is no separate button to release the shutter. In general, for decent photography you need something more solid ...

But the camera interface is nowhere easier! In the basic version, it does not bother the user with unnecessary settings - there are only TWO icons on the screen - a shutter button and a button that changes the flash mode.

If you touch the arrow that hides everything else, then the mode switch ("auto", "night" and "sports"), the change of cameras and the gear icon leading to the settings, which, in general, are also few, open.

Nokia X2 Dual SIM :: Review :: Performance and nutrition

The Nokia X2 processor is a typically budget "stone" - a 2-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM8210) 1200 MHz, Adreno 302 video core. (True, AnTuTu Benchmark defines it as MSM8610 and Adreno 305)

The same AnTuTu characterizes the hardware of the smartphone as weak:

However, what did you want for this money ?! The device is positioned as affordable - it is naive to demand records from it. At the same time, the interface really flies, no complaints. Most application applications run quickly and smoothly.

The gadget is powered by a modest 1800 mAh battery. This is not enough - the younger model Nokia X had a 1500 mAh battery and worked on it for one day - in this case, there are fears that history will repeat itself, and the positive difference between the battery capacity will be absorbed by the positive difference in the diagonal of the screens ...

Let's conduct a simple and visual test, which I traditionally use to assess the efficiency of battery use - we charge the battery to 100%, restart the device to clear the memory of clogging programs, turn off all wireless interfaces, except cellular communication, set the screen brightness and volume to maximum. We launch a movie in AVI format, which lasts 1 hour 23 minutes and weighs 1.45 GB. After completing the film, we look at the remaining battery charge.

The prediction almost came true. Nokia X in a similar experiment saved 60% of the battery charge, which is very little, X2 - 64%, which is a little more. Today, even budget devices after such a test remain with 70-75% of energy, and flagships with their powerful batteries and a bunch of energy-saving technologies keep 80-85% at all! Alas, in terms of longevity, the device is a one-diary.

Nokia X2 Dual SIM :: Review :: Impressions and conclusions

At a cost of 6,000 rubles, Nokia X2 dual sim looks quite competitive in comparison with the budget "androids" of other leading brands. Of the physical advantages - a strong construct, a catchy unusual appearance in "acid" versions, a bright and juicy display, loud sound, two SIM cards. X2 is based on an inexpensive dual-core chip, but with a gigabyte random access memory the gadget is cheerful and nimble, although it is not intended for flagship games. Of the software, the free navigation HERE traditionally pleases, the interface is original, but very easy to learn. Among the shortcomings - the practically absent built-in memory (with the aforementioned 4 GB, in reality it is less than two), a rather weak camera, a large body for a 4.3-inch display (it would be nice to make it either smaller, or, with the same dimensions, fit 4 into it, 7-inch screen).

A year ago, it was believed that it was impossible to combine Microsoft services and the Android operating system, but at the moment we can see the second generation of smartphones based on Nokia X Platform. A distinctive feature of such mobile devices is the lack of functionality of Google and Play services. The manufacturer's graphical shell has been added to the Android operating system. Unlike Windows Phone, the presented smartphone retains the ability to download a huge number of Android applications, their range compares favorably with other similar models. The Dual Sim communicator, the review of which we offer you, has a more powerful hardware base and an updated operating system compared to the first smartphones of this line.

Delivery overview

When talking about Dual Sim, user reviews will be invaluable to us in helping to achieve objectivity. The packing box is made of high-quality and dense cardboard, you can be sure of the safety of its contents. It contains an image of the smartphone, its name, the manufacturer's logo and information about the mobile device and the location of the company. The box is quite presentable and bright, capable of immediately attracting attention. The information sheet contains the name of the smartphone, its equipment, main technical characteristics and possible color options (for example, Nokia x2 Dual Sim Green). The packing box slides out to the side, after which we have access to the communicator and all related accessories. The smartphone comes with an AC adapter, a stereo headset, and a user manual. By the way, an important point about Dual Sim: reviews of many users call it a little strange the lack of a USB cable and memory card, which will have to be purchased separately.

Structure

Like all Nokia mobile devices, the side walls are soldered to the back cover and form a kind of rectangular box into which the device is placed and snaps into place for greater strength, durability, and guaranteed absence of gaps and creaks. Smartphone Nokia X2 Dual Sim can be easily removed from the box if you need to change SIM, battery or memory card. The design of the mobile device is very similar to the advertised Lumia, it is very recognizable and familiar to almost all users of this manufacturer's communicators. Distinctive features of the smartphone are bright colors and minimalistic rectangular shape. The manufacturer offers the model in several versions - light green, black or bright orange. It can be noted that the smartphone has become even more angular along the side edges, and the roundness on the back cover has completely disappeared. Compared to other glossy mobile devices, the Nokia X2 looks better thanks to its two-layer bright color coating. Regular plastic on top is supplemented with a layer of transparent polycarbonate. This solution reliably protects the smartphone from scratches typical for a glossy case, and also gives the device a beautiful effect of depth. Instructions for dismantling the back cover are included in the user manual. You shouldn't have any difficulties with this process, you can even do without improvised means. Under the back cover there is a removable battery, slots for a memory card and two SIM.

Nokia X2 Dual Sim: display reviews

The screen has a protective and oleophobic layer, which allows you to minimize fingerprints during use. Also, the device has an anti-reflective coating so that light sources do not distract from the work on the smartphone. and the glass is separated by a special plastic thin insert, now it does not protrude beyond the edges of the case and when placed on a solid surface of the smartphone with the screen down, you must be very careful not to damage the display. The top panel contains a speaker, a connector for a USB cable and a stereo headset. On the right side there is a volume rocker and a power button and a lock for a mobile device. The assembly of the smartphone was made very high quality, when you press on the screen, color stains do not appear, and when you rotate, nothing bends, and the geometry of the device remains unchanged.

Volume

Nokia X2 Dual Sim is an Android smartphone with only one multimedia speaker built in, and when the mobile device is placed on the front side, the sound can be muffled. The device is loud enough, but the negative side is the complete absence low frequencies... The speaker is mainly intended for listening to music, playing games and watching movies.

Shooting

The mobile device has a resolution of 0.3 megapixels, and the main one has 5 megapixels. In the presence of aperture optics, sensor, digital 4x zoom, auto focus and LED flash. You can get good pictures both during the day and at night. When shooting in a dark room or at night, be sure to turn on the flash. not impressive, poor results persist even when the settings are set to maximum and when the screen resolution is increased or decreased.

Conclusion

To create its new product, Nokia completely worked out past mistakes, improved the operating system, increased the performance of the smartphone and slightly changed the controls, while retaining the bright youth design of the mobile device. For its price, the model turned out to be quite successful, there were no complaints about the rigidity of the structure, the quality of its assembly, color rendering, the work of the navigator, wireless interfaces, the speed of launching applications for the whole time. It should be said that reviews of the Nokia X2 Dual Sim are currently mostly positive.

    1. The sound of external speakers is cool, high quality and loud. The sound of the spoken speaker is also quite decent, the interlocutor's voice does not distort (as on Samsung). 2. The camera is quite decent, daytime pictures are clear, both on the phone display and on the computer display. Nightly, of course, on the C grade, but to demand more from a phone of such a price category is simply arrogance. 3. No brakes were noticed, although I have been using it for only three days. Let's see what happens next. 4. Easy, that's a plus for me. 5. Radio can be listened to without headphones.

Price, menu convenience, PC synchronization, speakers. Although it was made in China, it did not refuse nirazu in 1.5 years. The camera is decent.

Build quality (nothing creaks or fidgets, it pleases). -Screen, I don’t know what they say so badly about it, everything suits me wildly. Also plus that you can put large numbers of hours, it's convenient. -The radio listens without a headset -Flashlight, I always wanted a phone with a flashlight :) -Clear menu, for the first time I deal with Nokia, I quickly figured it out.

well, first of all, the phone immediately catches the eye. beautiful enough, comfortable, good assembly, everything is fitted, the back cover holds up confidently. the only thing is that if you carry it in your pocket with a change or keys, then there is a high probability of scratches. drove on. took the phone, turned on, we begin to understand. in principle, the menu is quite clear and convenient. everything is extremely simple and clear. the convenience of the Nokia has always been good. the keyboard may seem harsh at first, but you quickly get used to it and after a couple of days it is no longer noticeable. the speakers are loud, but unfortunately the sound is not very clear, and at a very good level for a phone in this price segment... there are buttons to control the player / radio. very convenient for those who constantly listen to music. 2Gb card in PC

Very loud and surprisingly clear sound; plays video in very high quality; have a flashlight

    2 years ago 0

The price, cute in appearance, lies well in the hand. In order to call and send SMS - go.

    2 years ago 0

sound quality, camera is very good, many topics, loud.

    1) Design 2) loud sound 3) excellent camera 4) large screen 5) Convenient 6) does not break when dropped from 2-3 meters even! 7) there is a flashlight 8) does not discharge for a very long time! I charge it for 5-8 hours with music every 3-4 days. And if you don't use it, just call, then in general, it lasts a week!

    2 years ago 0

at first, twice a day, I completely hung up, I had to take out the battery, I wanted to return the phone back, but then these freezes passed. After 3 months, the headphones broke (the quality of the wire is bad), but I was not particularly upset, since I didn't really like them
that's all, there are no more flaws!

    2 years ago 0

    1. The brightness of the display is not regulated. Although for me this is actually not a disadvantage, the brightness is enough in all situations.
    2. Too sensitive spoken microphone, when you speak, the impression is that you are speaking into a real microphone (echo is small), I don’t know, I can get used to it.
    3. When touched, the front panel feels too cheap, the plastic is of very poor quality, even for a model in this price range.

    2 years ago 0

The auditory speaker is weak, you have to listen

    2 years ago 0

charging does not even last a day, I downloaded "heavy" games but they freeze, the case is not strong if it falls seriously, then the case will have to be changed, the latch from the back cover breaks, bad plugs, only 2 out of 4 declared speakers work

    2 years ago 0

Of course, the camera does not shoot at 5MP, but the quality of the video pleasantly surprised me, I thought it would be worse.

    2 years ago 0

of the shortcomings, I can probably only point out that the case is a little easily soiled, and then just a little, thinks a little when entering the main menu (it's strange why to think, not a smartphone), and everything seems to be. In any case, I have not found it yet. I will find - I will write)))

    2 years ago 0

An incomplete model, because when you install downloaded themes, not all icons are painted over; applications are not minimized; plays video well, but does not shoot very well (the camera does not pull at 5MP); it is impossible to move files from one folder to another, you have to connect to a PC; The alarm sound is several times quieter than others; sometimes dulls

    2 years ago 0

The camera is far from 5 pixels, the panel has worn off SOOO VERY quickly, the whole screen is scratched. (I don't have the habit of carrying covers with me) and USB is a penny))

    2 years ago 0

    i have not found!

    2 years ago 0

1.almost the entire body is painted plastic
2.the camera on the street is excellent, but in the room there is no (well, in general, there are cameras to make photos)
    3.assembly (buttons creak)
4.After a year of use, the earpiece is weak
    5.usb cord short
6.the screen is weak (compared to nokia 6303)
    7.Ovi is useless
    8.no wifi

Content:

Now you will get not only a couple of slots for cards of different operators (or tariffs), but also a camera, which was not in previous models of similar design.

It is worth considering right away that since there is one radio module, it will not work to conduct simultaneous conversations on both SIMs. However, this is a common feature of inexpensive models. The phone has good equipment: of the interesting features, apart from a 2-megapixel camera, a player with dedicated control keys, a slot for a memory card, a 2.2 ”QVGA screen, as well as a radio that works without headphones and an FM transmitter deserves attention. A musical device comes out, at the same time adapted to work with a pair of cards.

Appearance

Monoblock reminds of models and, only it has a different color back panel and a better keyboard shape. The dimensions of the device are slightly different: 113x50x15 mm, weight 93 g. Due to the slightly curved back panel, the phone fits well in the hand.

In addition, the side surfaces have a beveled shape, which contributes to a more comfortable grip. The chubby phone is quite comfortable to wear in jeans or trousers, although it should be noted that other modules are getting thinner cases.

Nokia X2-02 can be of several colors: red, black, blue, orange, purple. Build quality flawlessly, very good. A neatly made device will be liked by its solidity, tight fit of parts. Glossy plastic is easily soiled, both the front part and the back panel are quickly covered with fingerprints. A more practical matte material can be found on the sides. It is a simple, slightly rough plastic.

At the top is a small cutout for the earpiece.

There are buttons under the screen. There are a couple of soft keys, under them are the buttons for receiving and ending a call. The latter can turn off the phone. They are marked with simple and visual icons in the form of red and green handsets. The buttons are made in the form of small flat plates. They have a small move, but they themselves are slippery, not very pleasant.

In the center there is a 4-way navigation key with a small and clear stroke. It has raised sides, and the central part is recessed down. It is pressed with a soft click. Pressing the center performs the function of confirming the action.

The keyboard is comfortable, 12 separate keys are arranged in four rows. The buttons are puffy, embossed, easy to press. Again, the plastic is glossy and slippery, so not everyone might like them. But there are no complaints about the convenience of the dialing, here this issue is solved much better than in X1-01 and X1-00. The symbols are printed in silver and are clearly visible on a black background. The backlight works fine, everything is clearly visible.

There are additional elements on the beveled side faces. On the right, the user gets a set of two buttons for adjusting the volume. Nearby is a compartment for a SIM card under a protective flap.

On the other side there is a slot for a microSD card. It is also hidden under a sturdy plastic plug. A start-stop button for music control is placed here.

A standard 3.5mm hole at the top allows you to connect any headphones to your phone. In the center is the microUSB connector. There is also a hole for a "slim" 2mm Nokia charger.

There is a microphone hole at the bottom, as well as a small recess that helps to remove the back panel.

The back of the phone is covered with a plastic cover. It is matte, does not get scratched or dirty. Behaves very well and looks much more practical than glossy panels in other versions. Above, you can see the insert into which the lens of a 2-megapixel camera is inserted, as well as the speaker hole.

There is a battery inside, next to it there is a compartment for a SIM card.

Display

Nokia X2-02 has a 2.2-inch TFT screen with 262K colors. Its resolution is 240x320 pixels.

You cannot change the brightness level manually here, the viewing angles are rather modest. But it is worth remembering the cost of the phone, so that everything falls into place. The phone behaves very well in the sun, the image can be seen normally.

Menu

Indicators of cellular network signal reception, battery charge are placed on the desktop, time and date are displayed. There may be lines of widgets and shortcuts, each of which can be assigned the desired function by choosing among various applications. Among them are: favorite contacts, calendar, note, timer, link bar, search, mail, radio and music, communities, notifications, chat. You can move links around the screen at your discretion, choosing the design that is most convenient for you.

In order to enter the menu, you need to press the center of the navigation key. The right and left soft buttons launch other applications. They are initially assigned access to the phone book and shortcut menu. It consists of icons for various applications. You can choose from over 60 functions, adding the ones you want. In this case, the number is unlimited; if you wish, you can add all the links. If you choose the option of a simpler view of the desktop, then quick access to the functions is carried out by movements of the navigation key in all four directions.

The menu consists of numerous shortcuts. They can be moved around, organizing them as you like. There are several other types of menus: single, list, icons without signatures.

On the screen, you can change the background image, choosing from the number of pre-installed or downloaded yourself. Of course, there is also the possibility of changing the themes, the phone has several for a change.

When the screen is locked, no additional information is displayed on it. If you press the end call key, the display will light up and the time and date will be displayed. The platform is good and convenient, its main drawback is the lack of full-fledged multitasking. IN background the player and radio are working, but the same browser or twitter cannot be minimized, you have to restart the program every time.

Phone book

Each contact in the device memory can be assigned up to 5 telephone numbers... Additionally, other useful data is recorded: type of number (work, mobile, home, etc.), e-mail, site address, date of birth, address, organization note, pseudonym, position.

Each contact can be assigned not only a picture, but also an individual melody. Of course, there are fields for the first and last name, the limit is the number of characters: 50 characters for each field, which is quite enough.

After selecting a contact in the phone book, you can perform a number of actions: call, send a message or e-mail, as well as add information. Names are entered by list, name and number, name and picture. Sets a larger font size.

The list can be sorted either by first name or last name of the persons included in it. User groups are created, each of them can be assigned a picture and melody. The phone book search works, which searches by the first letter of the first or last name. Scrolling through the list of names is slow, the phone slows down.

Each of the lists shows the name or number of the user, as well as the date of the call and the number of the activated SIM card. The log shows the total duration of calls. You can send a message to any number or save it to your contacts list (by creating a new one or updating an existing one). The dialed numbers are shown as large characters on the display, they are clearly visible.

The total duration of calls is displayed, and there is also a message counter. The phone has a speakerphone function, during a call it is activated by the right soft key. During a call, the call duration is displayed on the screen. Before making a call, you can set a timer, after a certain time it will display a user-defined message.

By dialing the number or selecting it in the list of names, you can make a call, you will be prompted to select one of the SIM-cards. In the settings, the SIM card is set, which by default will be used for calls or sending SMS. You can enter this menu both from the item with the phone settings and by holding the * button, where the symbol of a pair of SIM cards is applied. The voice recorder turns on to record the conversation.

Posts

The section is devoted to SMS and MMS messages. Following the trend of recent years, correspondence with a person can be displayed as a single list, forming a dialogue. All messages go to one shared folder.

You can add an audio file, picture or video to any SMS-message, which will automatically transform it into MMS. Copying and pasting of text is supported, data from the message can be transferred to the calendar. The font size changes.

When sending, you can select from phonebook destinations, journal and e-mail numbers, recently used numbers, and send a message to your favorite user.

Email

Working with e-mail is implemented using a built-in application that helps you quickly set up mailbox on one of the popular mail servers. In my case, Gmail.com and Mail.ru were tested, with which there were no difficulties. Supports automatic downloading of messages, you can choose between one of three intervals, set the period for receiving mail.

The phone is able to download letters with attachments, but there are problems with viewing files, for example, documents - the data display capabilities apply only to graphic images. Work with several accounts e-mail, the POP3, IMAP4, SMTP protocols work. Mail client has basic capabilities, with its help you can write a letter, send a file (a picture from the phone's memory or a photo from a camera).

Camera

The phone has a 2-megapixel module. The camera is launched through the phone menu. The interface is clear and simple. A series of icons are displayed that allow you to access the photo and video settings, and switch between photo and video modes.

The camera has a number of settings:

Saving pictures: phone memory or memory card.

Image title: automatically or your own name.

Photo quality: 2M (1600x1200), 1.3M (1280x960) 0.3M (640x480), 0.1M (320x240 pixels).

Self-timer: 3, 5, 10 seconds.

White balance: automatic, daylight, incandescent, daylight.

Effects: Normal, False Colors, Grayscale, Sepia, Negative, Overexposure.

Camera sound: on or off.

Photo viewing time: 3, 5, 10 seconds or unlimited.

Examples of snapshots can be seen below. The quality is the most common for a phone without autofocus and with a simple camera.

Maximum video quality at a resolution of 176x144 pixels, 10 frames per second. A number of settings are similar to those used during photography.

Audio player

The player reads formats such as AAC, AAC +, eAAC +, MP3, MP4, WMA. The playlist can be sorted by genre, artist, album. Playlists are highlighted, and you can also listen to all the tracks in turn. In playback mode, the display shows the album cover, if it was registered in tags, information about the artist, album name and song is displayed, indicating the total length of the song. The player is controlled using the navigation key, it also changes the sound volume.

The shuffle and repeat mode works for one song or for all. If you minimize the player, information about the music being played can be displayed on the desktop. The 10-scale volume control is enough with a margin, even for a noisy environment like the subway. The built-in equalizer offers a selection of ready-made presets as well as manual settings.

The phone can be considered as a replacement for a player, the sound is good. It is inconvenient that when the keyboard is locked, the music control button does not work, and the volume keys are inactive. This model is very good as a player, so it can be considered as an inexpensive alternative to a separate device.

Radio

Stereo FM radio operates in the 87.5-108 MHz / 76-90 MHz range. RDS is supported, up to 20 stations can be stored in the phone's memory. They can be saved using automatic search, or entered manually. By minimizing the application, you can see the name of the listening station on the desktop. There is an FM transmitter for streaming music from your phone to an external source. Also, the buyer should like the option that allows you to listen to the radio without connected headphones using the built-in antenna.

Photo album

Photos taken with the built-in camera fall into their own section. My Photos will display a set of 4x3 thumbnails showing the pictures stored in the phone. You can arrange a slideshow by choosing one of three possible options transition between pictures and setting the display time in the range from 3 to 10 seconds.

When you click on it, it will open in full screen, after which it will be possible to view the picture in more detail using scaling using a couple of virtual keys. You can also send a photo via MMS, e-mail, Bluetooth.

The Timeline shows the frames saved in the phone's memory, sorted by date. Having selected a certain day, you can see a set of pictures, later they can be enlarged to full screen. It differs from “my photos” only in the selection criterion: not all photos are displayed mixed, but sorted by date, which can make it easier to find the desired file.

Video

The phone supports playback of clips in MPEG-4, H.263, H.264, 3GP. The video library is a list of files, by selecting any one, it can be viewed both vertically and horizontally. Given the small screen diagonal, the model is unlikely to be actively used for watching videos.

Organizer

The calendar

You can select the default view: the view of the month or day, the day of the start of the week is set, and you can also set the automatic deletion of records after a certain period of time (after 1 day, week or month), if required.

The place, date and time of the start and end are set, the repeat is set for every day, week, month or year, you can turn on the notification signal and set the time of its activation. There is a search among the records, which helps to find the desired date or event.

Alarm clock

Activation days are set, an alarm is set. It can be either a preset melody or a composition loaded into the phone's memory. In addition, you can select the sound of the radio by the signal. The repeat period is set. There is only one alarm clock, you cannot create several different ones.

There is a stopwatch and timer.

The function of displaying the time in different time zones allows you to display on the phone screen the simultaneous display of information for four different cities.

The calculator will help you perform a variety of arithmetic operations.

There is a voice recorder that can create recordings without restrictions on
time.

In the phone, you can create notes-notes and enter information about cases with different priority of importance.

The unit converter will help in various situations.

General characteristics

A type

Determining the type of device (phone or smartphone?) Is pretty simple. If you need a simple and inexpensive device for calls and SMS, it is recommended to opt for a telephone. A smartphone is more expensive, but it offers a wide variety of options: games, video, Internet, thousands of programs for all occasions. However, its battery life is significantly less than that of a simple phone.
