Now the situation with the trade of multimedia products has changed. Trade in unlicensed discs has dropped significantly, which has opened the way for entrepreneurs who want to sell licensed multimedia products. Here we will talk about opening a licensed multimedia store.

What such a store usually sells. These are computer games (games for PC and consoles), videos, music, audiobooks, software (on CD and DVD media).

Seat selection

You need to start by finding a profitable store location. We are interested in places with a large traffic of people. That is, you need to determine the passability of the place at different times of the day and on different days of the week.

Assess the quality of traffic, that is, its compliance with your target audience and purchasing power. We will be interested in the central streets of the city and shopping centers. These places are the most suitable for this store.

Premises and equipment

The sales area for a store of this type should be within 50-100 sq. m. The shape of the hall is best rectangular. This will allow for optimal placement of all equipment. Special racks for products are needed, taking into account the form of packaging. It is necessary to place products as compactly as possible, and to provide good visualization.

So, on the racks we place the main product, related products and accessories. We must have stands with novelties and hits, audio and video equipment, a computer for demonstrating goods, and a cash register.

The display form should be open, this increases sales. The problem of theft is being fought by traditional methods, by installing anti-theft equipment. They also put empty boxes on showcases, and put the disc when buying.

You must have trading software. Since the product is small and there is a lot of it. Everything should be in the computer base, this will allow you to control the dynamics, sales volumes, inventory turnover, all changes in the assortment.

Purchase of goods

Most Western companies specializing in the production of multimedia have their representatives in Russia. There are official dealers from whom stores buy goods. You need to negotiate with them about cooperation, price discounts, deferred payment, etc.

Average turnover of goods is 3-4 months. If the terms are higher, then there are problems in the assortment structure.

Staff

Depending on the area of \u200b\u200bthe trading floor, you will need up to four sales consultants (two per shift). You also need a purchasing manager. A key position for this business.

He is responsible for the assortment matrix of the store, decides how many and what items to buy, makes sure that new items and hits appear in the store promptly. It is better to put a separate employee at the checkout, although sellers can work at the checkout. The administrator monitors the work of the entire store.

Correctly opening a store and establishing operating activities in it, these are two key points in the success of your enterprise.

I have already published more than one article on DLNA setup. We ran the DLNA server in different ways, on different devices, and for different TVs. In this tutorial, I will show you how to enable DLNA server in Windows 10. Let it be a computer or a laptop, it doesn't matter. The main thing is that Windows 10 is installed on it. There are many different programs with which you can run a media server on your computer. But in this tutorial, we will not use any third-party software. We will use only standard Windows 10 tools. In addition, there is such an option in both Windows 8 and Windows 7. There are few differences.

And so, to begin with, let's figure out what DLNA is, why run this server on a computer, laptop and what to do with it. Everything is very simple. DLNA technology can transfer media content (video, photo, music) between devices on the local network. Most often, this technology is used to view videos or photos on a Smart TV that are on a computer. I wrote in more detail about this technology in the article:. If interested, you can read.

How it all works: Smart TV must be connected to our router. Via Wi-Fi network, or by cable. It does not matter. To the same router, the computer on which we want to run the media server must be connected, and from which we want to play video, photo, or music on the TV. The main thing that devices were on the same local network (were connected through one router)... This does not mean that there should be only one computer and one TV, there can be several of them. Moreover, there may be other devices on the network that support DLNA. For example: game consoles, TV boxes, satellite receivers, etc.

Before proceeding with the setup, make sure your computer and TV are connected to your Wi-Fi network, or with a network cable to your router. Check if the internet is working on the TV. If you do not know if your TV supports DLNA, then this information can be found in the specifications. I will say this, if there is a Smart TV on the TV, then everything will work.

And in the Microsoft Edge browser in Windows 10, you can display videos, photos and music directly from the browser on TV. How to do this, I wrote in the article.

I think we figured out all the nuances, now you can start setting up.

Displaying videos from Windows 10 to TV: a quick and easy way

A video clip, film, almost any video can be displayed from the computer to the TV in a few clicks. Turn on your TV. Make sure it is connected to the internet (to your router).

On the computer, open the folder with the video, and right-click on the file that we want to play on the TV (Smart TV). Then we hover over the item "Transfer to device". Our TV set should appear there. If there is an inscription "Searching for devices ...", then you need to wait a little. Leave the menu open, or try in a couple of seconds. As you can see in the screenshot below, Windows 10 found two TVs for me: LG and Philips.

Choosing a TV. The player control window will appear immediately. Here you can control the video playback on your TV, add other files to the playlist, see information on TV, etc.

The TV will immediately start playing the running movie.

We have just started watching videos from PC to TV using DLNA technology. As you can see, everything works. And all this wirelessly, by air. It's over if you have both devices connected via Wi-Fi.

Launching DLNA Server on Windows 10 by Standard Means

Above, we examined a method when you can send files from a computer to a TV. But, there is still a great opportunity when we can view all files from the TV (to which access is open)that are stored on our computer. I think this is what you need.

You can use third-party programs to run the DLNA server, for example, "Home Media Server (UPnP, DLNA, HTTP)". I wrote about setting up with this program in the article. This program is suitable for all TVs. But each manufacturer usually has its own program. LG, for example, has Smart Share. I wrote about the setting.

Well, on the other hand, why do we need third-party programs if in Windows 10 everything can be configured with built-in tools.

1 First thing we need to do is open the Media Streaming Options. This item is located in the control panel. You can just start entering its name in the search and launch it.

2 In the new window, click on the "Enable streaming media" button. Thus, we enable DLNA server in Windows 10.

3 Next enter the name of your DLNA server. Then, in the list of devices, you can allow or deny access to the media server for a specific device on your network. If you are connected to your home network, you can leave all devices.

If your TV is not on the list, then wait a bit. Alternatively, close and reopen the media streaming settings.

Each device will have a "Configure ..." button. If necessary, you can configure individual settings for each device.

4 You can now access the running server on the TV. It looks different on different TVs. On Philips TVs (with Android TV), for example, you need to launch the Media app. Or select this source from the available signal sources.

As you can see in the screenshot above, access will immediately be opened to three standard folders: "Videos", "Pictures", "Music". All files in these folders can be viewed on TV.

These three folders are located on the system drive. Agree, it is not very convenient to copy the necessary films and other files there all the time in order to watch them from the TV. Therefore, you can simply share other folders.

How to add a folder for a DLNA server

Start Windows Media Player.

If you want to add a folder with video, for example, click on the corresponding item on the left, and select "Manage video library".

In the new window, click on the "Add" button. Select the folder to which you want to open access via DLNA, and click on the "Add folder" button.

Any required folder will appear in the list and will be displayed on the TV. For example, I opened access to the "Videos" folder, in which I store films.

You can add any folders in this way, or remove them from the list.

1 If you need to open the media streaming settings, you can do so from Windows Media Player. Just click on the "Stream" menu item, and select "More Streaming Options ...".

2 If during DLNA file playback your computer goes into sleep mode and playback is interrupted, just turn on the "High Performance" power scheme.

A graphic message will come, but it is not always possible to look at it. But in general, the question of how to open mms in the phone has not been a problem for most users for a long time.

Any mobile operator provides this service, sends settings to the phone, if the phone supports this function.

But if the phone is monochrome, without polyphony, very old, does not support this function, then it will hardly be possible to open such message options on it.

Function setting

  • The first step is to make sure that your phone supports GPRS / EDGE. Only in this case, the reception and sending of MMS messages can occur. If you are not sure about the capabilities of your phone, then the instructions for your device will help you.
  • The next step is to call your operator. In a personal conversation, ask to send you the settings to your phone or, following the voice prompts, “alone” ask them to send you.
  • For example, it is enough for Megafon to receive a message from you with the text "3" to number 5049, MTS will receive an empty message from you to number 1234, or after your call to 0876 (there will be a free call) it will send you the necessary settings for mms.
  • Beeline connects a similar service by default to all its subscribers. However, if this did not happen, then it is enough to send a request to * 110 # 181 #.
  • You will receive a regular message on your phone with the settings. There you will be prompted to save the settings, and a password for activation will be written. So keep the settings on your phone.
  • They will automatically appear on your phone, if it supports this function. After saving all the settings, turn off the device, wait a little. And turn the phone back on.
  • If everything was correct, now on your phone mms will both open and send.

How to open mms

  • If you received mms, but you cannot open it, then first of all check the settings. You may have reverted to default settings for some reason.
  • And everything sent by the mobile operator and saved on the phone may be lost. Therefore, ask again to send you the settings.
  • Mms opens in the same way as regular messages. All their difference is that they can contain pictures, videos, melodies or more characters.
  • If it does not open for you, then check the spam settings so that nothing is entered there. And also make sure that there are settings for receiving and sending mms.
  • If it seems to you that everything is in order, but the mms still does not open, then go to the nearest center with your operator, ask the center workers to help you figure out and configure everything.

There might be items in the Windows Player Library that don't have or contain fake media, such as song titles, track numbers, artist names, album names, or genres. It is possible that the false information was added by mining the records from the CD or by using another software to extract the CDs.

Regardless of the reason, the player uses media to organize library items, so it is important that all items have accurate and complete multimedia data.

Auto-add multimedia data

In many cases, the player can automatically download media and add it to the files. For example, if you rip a CD, your player can search the online database and download the recording media contained on the CD to your computer.

The player also periodically checks the library for non-media items. If records are found in the online database that match library items, the player will automatically download multimedia data and add them to the library files.

Manually add or change media

Can add or modify media data manually... If there are items in the Player library that have no media or are spurious, there are several methods to manually fix the media.

Adding media from an online database

An easy way to add media content via a file that is already in the player's library is to search the online database for information. This method works best when the information is in the database, but the player cannot automatically retrieve it for a file from the player's library.

  1. Switch to library
  2. In the player library, right-click and select Find album information... The player will connect to the internet and display a dialog box Finding Album Information.
  3. To select multiple adjacent elements, click the first element and hold down the Shift key while clicking the last element. To select non-adjacent items, click each item while holding down the Ctrl key.
  4. In the dialog box Finding Album Information match the item or items to the correct album in the list, or refine your search.

The Player will close the window and add the information to the Player Library. After a while (depending on how many changes have been made and whether the player is performing other operations), the information will be added to the file.

To have the player update the file immediately, click To arrange and select the command Apply changes to media.

Add media using the Edit command

If you find it convenient to enter information manually, you can skip the online database and correct the information directly in the player's library using the Edit command.

  1. Open Windows Player.
  2. If the player is already open and in playback mode, click the Switch to Library button in the upper right corner of the player.
  3. In the player library, right-click the item name, artist name, or other media attribute and select Edit.

If an attribute does not appear in the Player Library, you may need to scroll using the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the Player Library window (if present), left or right, or customize the Player Library, displaying the attribute column is hidden by default.

To make the same attribute change for multiple elements, you can save time by selecting the element group before right-clicking the appropriate attribute. To select multiple adjacent elements, hold down the Shift key while selecting. To select multiple nonadjacent elements, hold down the Ctrl key while selecting.

  4. Type the information you want to add or correct, press Enter.
  5. Information will be added to the player library... After a while (depending on how many changes were made and whether the player is performing other operations), information is added to the file.
  6. Repeat steps 1 and 2 as needed to correct other attributes.

Notes:

  • Some attributes, such as duration, size, and stream rate, cannot be changed.
  • Some attributes, such as artist and genre, can have multiple elements separated by semicolons.

Adding media by dragging and dropping items

If your Player Library has items that contain the correct media and you want to copy those attributes to another item that contains false information, you can quickly do this by dragging the error item onto the correct one.

  1. Open Windows Player.
  2. If the player is already open and in playback mode, press the Switch to library in the upper right corner of the player.
  3. In the Player Library, click a View in the Navigation Pane, for example Executor, Album or Genre.
  4. In the details pane, drag the item containing fake media onto the item with correct media.

For example, drag "Unknown Album" onto the "Giant Steps" album. All elements of the "Unknown Album" will be part of the "Giant Steps" album.

  5. If a confirmation window appears, click Yes.

Protecting multimedia data from overwriting

After the media has been added to the files, it is advisable to make them then were not overwritten by the player.

  1. Open Windows Player.
  2. If the player is already open and in playback mode, press the Switch to library in the upper right corner of the player.
  3. In the player library, click To arrange, select Options and click the tab Library.
  4. In area Automatic update of media file information make sure the checkbox is checked Add only missing information.
  5. This will prevent the player from accidentally changing the correct media that has been added to false information that may be contained in the online database.

Note: If the command is used Find album informationto manually load media from the online database, the media will be overwritten regardless of the options selected.
