The play market has disappeared from the phone. What to do. Troubleshooting Google Play Market

Reading 4 min.

Play Market is an entertainment service and, in combination, a digital store by Google, which allows owners of various equipment with the Android operating system to download a variety of premium content to smartphones, tablets and even smart watches - from movies, books and music to applications, newspapers and magazines.

And although Play Market is not the only source of entertainment, it is here that it is easy to keep abreast of the latest trends and news (the main page of the service is always full of advertisements, some kind of notifications and recommendations suggesting exactly how to spend the free evening). How can you refuse such lucrative offers? Of course you can, but not of your own free will! And because of unexpected problems with the operating system or with the service, for example, if, after an accidental deletion, gently restore the play market on the android.

Reasons for deletion

As practice suggests, there are many reasons:

  • Temporary problems that led to failures of the "Google Services" service, due to which the application shortcut disappeared from the menu and the ability to download content and update already installed applications was lost;
  • Problems with internal memory, malware, recent operating system updates (especially if the build is from the "beta" category and suffers from all sorts of bugs and errors);
  • Banal inattention - one extra click in the "Application Manager" and any recently used tool will instantly remain in the basket;
  • Sometimes the problem lies specifically in the Play Market - it is not uncommon for cases when, due to problems with authorization, you had to reinstall the service using one of the methods described below.

Restoring Play Market

There are several options available, but before moving on to radical methods, there are several preparatory processes, possibly capable of returning the store to work:

Working with settings

Even after the thorough removal of some Google services from the Android operating system, it is great not to bring the matter to a victorious end - after the reboot, the cunning OS will try to restore everything deleted back. If this did not happen automatically, you can try your luck in manual mode.

  1. Step one - go to "Settings", then go to the "Device" section, and then select "Applications";
  2. In the list that appears, be sure to click the checkbox opposite the item "Display all";
  3. Next, it remains to find "Google Play Services" and click on the "Enable" button that appears right in the center of the screen. The result of the performed procedure will appear after the reboot - most likely, all services will appear again!

Installing an APK from a trusted source

If the above method did not help, or the item associated with built-in services disappeared in the "Dispatcher", then it is time to move on, or more precisely, to download the fresh Play Market distribution from the Apkpure.com website (perhaps the best option of all it is easy to find on the network - the Russian language is available here, the ability to open a download link via a QR code is open, and you can also choose the version of the service that you need at the moment at any time).

The downloaded .apk file must be downloaded to a smartphone or tablet via a USB cable (or via cloud storage), and then go through all the necessary installation steps.

By the way, if the file is not reset to internal memory, then you need to deal with the protection of the operating system - go to "Settings", then to the "Security" menu, and then put a checkmark in front of the item allowing the installation of applications from "Unverified sources". The accepted changes must be saved, and then repeat the procedure with .apk.

Return to life from scratch

In cases where even the distribution kit does not help to return the digital store to its place, the only option remains - formatting the internal memory of the device through the menu with a reset. The operating system will lose all applications and data (except for those added to the backup menu - we are talking about phone book entries, photos, videos and notes), but it will immediately restore the entire set of preinstalled programs - from Google services to the classic calculator.

You can start your life from scratch like this: open the "Settings", find the menu item "Restore and reset", then put a tick in front of the item "Erase available data", click OK. Agree with formatting and wait for the procedure to complete. The result will appear in 5-7 minutes - a clean operating system, but a working Play Market. The final touch is to restore some data from the backup menu.

Each of these methods can definitely lead to success, it all depends on the sacrifices you have to make ...

The problem of the inoperability of the Play Market (today it is Google Play) is quite unpleasant and thousands of Android device owners face it every day. If this problem did not pass you by, then in this material you can gain a little knowledge and quickly put your smartphone or tablet in order.

Various errors and failures due to which the Google Play store may not work are caused by several reasons, after carefully studying which you can quickly solve your problem and do everything in order not to face it again in the future.

Why is Play Market not working for you? Main reasons

Let's take a closer look at the reasons:

  1. The service doesn't really work. This case is a very rare occurrence. But if it does happen, you just need to wait until its work is resumed.
  2. The date and time on the device are out of order. Typically, this cause in most cases will cause an error with the notification "no connection".
  3. There are network problems. Make sure the internet is working and the connection is correct. If you are using mobile internet, we advise you to look at us.
  4. Freedom program. It always blocks access to Google services.
  5. The hosts file has changed. As a result of installing and using certain applications, like the above-mentioned Freedom, some changes occur in the Android system section, in particular in the hosts file. In this case, the user needs to make a small edit to the file, returning it to its original state. How to do this, look later in this article, which describes how to fix this problem.

Ways to resume the functioning of the Play Store

Let's consider ways to solve the problem depending on the reasons. If you know the cause of the problem, you can immediately choose a solution from the list below. If not, then you have to try all the ways.

  1. Reboot your device. This simple action helps about 50% of the time. By the way, we recommend rebooting the system if any errors occur during the operation of any other programs.
  2. Make sure the Google Accounts software product is turned on. This can be done by going to the "Settings" menu, then to the "Applications" section, and then select the "All" tab. Go down to the very bottom, where the disabled programs are located. If you find "Google Accounts" here, then just select and enable and everything should work. Otherwise, read on for other methods.
  3. Reset Google Play Market and Google Play Services settings. To do this simple operation, you need to go to the settings menu and select the section responsible for managing applications. Next, find these applications in the list and apply "Erase data" and "Clear cache" to each of them. Also, separately to Google Play Market, you must apply "Remove updates".
  4. Reinstall Google Play. First, remove the installed version of Google Play (in older versions of Android it is Play Market), and then download the latest version that is currently up to date. Install the program and reboot the device.
  5. Make sure the system time is correct. There are times when the date and time get lost. As a result, after trying to open a store, users often see the "no connection" error. To solve the problem, you need to go to the "Settings" menu, then - "Date and time", and set the real time, date and your time zone.
  6. Check the availability of an Internet connection. Make sure the Internet is turned on and working on your device. Open your browser and try going to any site.
  7. Configure hosts correctly. Many of us use programs that quietly make some changes to the system hosts file. One of the most common such programs is Freedom, which allows you to make free in-game purchases using so-called "fake data". If you use this utility or something similar to it, you must first stop its work by going to "Settings" -\u003e "Applications", then find the desired program and click on it. Now choose "Stop". Then completely remove.

    To edit the hosts file, you must have root rights. We recommend using the file manager for searching and editing. Root Explorer or ES File Explorer.

    Has content something like this:

    And it should be like this:

    All the junk automatically generated in this file must be removed. To do this, follow the instructions (using the example of ES Explorer application):

    - Start the file manager and go to the root of the system (top level) by pressing the "/" button at the very top of the application window.

    - Find and open a folder called "etc".

    - This folder contains the hosts file we need. Open it as text and delete everything you don't need. Then save and make sure there is now only one line left with text 127.0.0.1 localhost.

    After this procedure, try if the Play Market is not working.

  8. Reset the settings to factory defaults. We recommend using this method only as a last resort, when no other actions have led to the desired result. The fact is that as a result of such a procedure, all information is deleted from the device's internal memory and it would be good to have a backup copy in order to resume your data later.

    To perform a reset, go to "Settings" and select "Restore and reset", and in it the item "Reset data" (in earlier versions of Android: "Privacy" -\u003e "Reset data").

Play Store is a very powerful service of applications and other content for the Android mobile platform, which is operated by Google. If it does not work on your smartphone or tablet, then, most likely, you have experienced some of the above problems, since hundreds of specialists are responsible for the technical condition of this service and are constantly monitored.

If nothing works, or maybe you know other ways to solve this problem, please communicate below in the comments, helping other users.

Once we bought a children's tablet L exibook® Tablet Master 2I thought it would be nice for a child to have a tablet, but what would it had an Android OS and the child was interested and safe. To be honest, I leave my review with a slight disappointment. Yes, there are many simple games, their own primitive browser, many programs, protection against surfing the Internet in search of bad sites.

And here's the fun part, there you can only install programs from their own store. That is, there is no Google Play, and which is interesting even when you install it manually, it just doesn't work.

No Google Play service

Most likely, Google services are simply banned there. Their own store, unfortunately, is not distinguished by a wide variety of useful programs, especially since there is almost nothing there in Russian. Well, the versions of the programs are for some reason quite backward. As a search on the Internet has shown, this tablet is not alone.

Apparently manufacturers want to earn extra money in this way, allegedly relying on the safety of children. Like they have everything safe, but unfortunately backward.

How do I install Google Play on my tablet?

This is where the problem arose of how to install Google Play on a tablet. Unfortunately the fight was unsuccessful... In theory, you can get root access and find the hosts file, because, most likely, Google's address is banned there. However, all this turned out to be quite difficult. So I went the easy way.

Search for Google Play alternatives

Now there are a lot of services on the Internet and app stores that help you install programs for Android without unnecessary problems replacing Google Play.

First, you need to choose a service, I will change those below, but there are others. If you have a favorite other, then write in the comments.

Yandex. Store

For example, Yandex. Store. Good enough service for installing applications.

However, it has several drawbacks. There is still not a large selection of programs and games. Often outdated versions of programs. But the service is developing someday in the future he will be quite good.

1mobile

Ultimately, I left my choice on the excellent service 1mobile. The application store contains, in my opinion, all programs from Google Play, installed without problems and constantly updated.

Interestingly... On Google Play, I ran into a problem on one of my tablets that some programs were not installed. Writes that the hardware or OS is not supported. However, from 1mobile, these programs are installed and work without problems. Thus, solving the problem of installing such cunning programs.

Installation process

You need enable in settingsandroid devices ( if a function disabled) the ability to install with unknown sources « Settings / Security / unknown sources (check mark)". Then download the program, run it, and you will have a third-party application for the app store service installed. With it, you will install any application.

In this video you can see more clearly how this is done.

If you forgot your Google account password or it was deleted for some reason, you will be denied access to all services of this Internet monster, including Google Play Market, from which almost all programs on Android are downloaded. This is due to the fact that an active Google account is a kind of pass to enter any of its applications. To solve this problem, you need to recover the lost password. One good thing is that it can be done in the vast majority of cases.

The procedure for returning access to the Play Market

To regain access to the Play Market on Android, you need to recover the password from your Google account. In this case, the sequence of resuscitation will depend on whether you indicated, when registering a new account, your personal data (initials, real mobile phone number, additional mailbox, etc.). If the registration was completed completely, then there will be no problems with resuscitation. Otherwise, this procedure will take more resources from you.

It may also be that, having received superuser rights (root access) on Android, you mistakenly deleted the Play Market utility on your phone. In this case, instead of recovering your password, you will need to reinstall the remote Google Play and synchronize it with your Google account, since all the services of this company are interconnected.

Recovering access to your Google account if you have personal data

If you are unable to log into your Google Play Market account or any other Google services, you should refer to a directory specially created for such purposes (Google Account Recovery). It provides a solution to many mailbox and other application health problems. If you do not want to look for additional information, you can use the instructions below.

It is not difficult to recover a password from the Google Play Market in the presence of personal data. This requires:

  1. From a personal computer through any browser to go to the main page of Google and click "Login".
  2. In the form that opens, click on "Can't log into your account?".
  3. After that, you should select the first item and in the appropriate line enter the email address associated with the Google Play Market service.
  4. Then enter the phone number indicated when registering mail.
  5. Within a few minutes, an SMS message with a verification code should come to your mobile gadget, which should be entered in the column that appears.
  6. If everything is done correctly, a form will open in which you can enter a new password.

After completing these simple steps, you will reanimate your mailbox and restore access to the Google Play Market.

How to restore access to Google services if personal data is missing?

It is a little more difficult to restore access to Google Play Market when personal data was not specified during account registration or it was changed.

If everything is done correctly, then in 1-2 days a letter from Google technical support with further instructions will be sent to the specified mail. After completing them and specifying a new password, you can restore your account in the Play Market and other Google applications.

The email may end up in spam, so if it didn't arrive on time, check your spam folder.

What if the Play Market was accidentally deleted?

Google Play Market is by default present in the factory firmware of a tablet or phone running on Android. Therefore, you do not need to install it additionally. But what if the user accidentally deleted this application? Of course, reinstall it.
