Meizu M5 Note for many parameters bypasses a junior smartphone, but characteristics and opportunities still do not make it more convenient. This is a phablet with traditional shortcomings. The difference in price (almost 30% percent is more expensive!) Only adds doubts whether a more advanced device is needed or a compact model should be limited to.

If you do not embarrass large smartphones, and the price of Meizu M5 Note seems acceptable, you have to take it. The MEIZU M5S apparatus was released for a long time, and I all waited for the moment when the company finally announces something similar, that is, inexpensive and affordable, for comparison. As a result, a month ago, Meizu had a budget M5C smartphone, standing out among all other versions of the version of Flyme 6 from the "box".

MEIZU M5S gadget stands in Russia (officially) from 11,000 rubles, depending on the amount of memory, and M5C is 9,000 rubles.

Design, dimensions, control elements

ABOUT appearance mEIZU smartphones (Yes, and many other devices of some companies) does not make sense to tell for a long time: all the same thing that was in previous ten devices. To distinguish them from each other almost an unreal even advanced observer. However, M5S is made of metal, and M5C is completely made of plastic. In addition, the latter boasts a large number of color: among bright - pink, red and blue. The "older brother" the color is more relaxed.


Unfortunately, for the review M5C I got the most boring color - black. The backbone of the soft-touch plastic is smartly collecting fingerprints, after which the gadget looks untidy.

With M5S is much simpler, because there is metal, the material is non-primary. It is worth adding that on top and bottom on the back side - plastic inserts, that is, the case is not all-metal, as it may seem.


In the appeal, M5C turned out to be more convenient: a smooth, thinner case, a little less height and less weight. Compared to it, the M5S smartphone seems somewhat bulky.



From above on the front panels are the lighting and approximation sensors, conversational speakers, indicators of missing events (for some reason, they "were silent" to skip the call). Their volume is about the same low, but the interlocutor is heard clearly and picking up.

The measured data showed that the M5S uses plus minus the same settings, only less contrast, the blue color will dominate with a weak backlight.

MEIZU M5C and M5S use built-in batteries with a capacity of 3000 mAh.

Despite different chips and diagonal screens, the time of operation of both smartphones is approximately the same, but still in favor of M5C, which is not surprising. You can count on a full day when loaded above average.

Cameras

The Meizu M5C cameras are slightly simpler: Main on 8 MP (F2.0, 4 lenses) with phase autofocus, calf by 5 megapixel (F2.2, 4 lenses). The flash is the same.

Both cameras remove the middle. M5s has obvious contrast problems and saturation, but the detailing is good - small inscriptions are easily read. The M5C details are worse, but in general the picture is perceived better due to the best saturation and contrast.





Selfie is obtained more naturally on Meizu M5s, but I personally go to the M5C camera personally :) The viewing angle is the same - slightly above average.



Video The older model writes in the resolution of FullHD, and the youngest - HD. If you do not find fault, then quality and there and there is average, but the video with M5C looks a little more pleasant due to the saturation of flowers.

Displays

In all three state employees, IPS matrices are used, which are good for their level, but according to the color reproduction parameter are not reaching the screens of steep flagships of the MEIZU Pro type 6. The difference between displays in Meizu M5, M5S, M5 Note is diagonally and resolution. For a long time, everyone knows that the diagonal of models with the prefix Note is always higher, which the prefix itself hints. The model itself took 2nd place in the rating of Smartphones from Meizu (find it).

Total we have:

In any case, each device, taking into account the possibility of its processors in AnTUTU benchmark, will drop 40-45 thousand points. Meizu M5 picks up 40563 points that for budget smartphone good result.

Most likely, the most rapid among these phone models is Meizu M5 Note at the expense of the MediaTek Helio P10 chipset, which also shows a good result - 44,000 points in the Antutu benchmark.

Cameras

As can be seen from the parameter table, approximately equal cameras are used in these smartphones. At a minimum, the characteristics are very similar, but what kind of sensors are used - it is unknown.

In general, photos are good for state employees. And for all three models! With a good daylight, noise is very small, the colors are natural, the exact balance of the white, wide dynamic range. But in the evening or at night there are many noise in the photo, so it's better not to photograph any modification on Meizu M5 in the evening - you will be disappointed.

As you can see, even with a good light you can see the graininess in the photo. And yes, the camera in these smartphones is not a strong side. But for state employees is the norm.

Autonomy

In terms of autonomy, the phones are approximately equal. In M5 Note, the battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh. But the battery capacity is compensated by the large screen consumption of a 5.5-inch diagonal and fullHD resolution. Therefore, even with a larger battery capacity, the autonomy of M5 Note will not significantly exceed the time of operation of the same M5.

On average, during normal mode, the phones will live 2 days. If the charge is strongly saved, then the battery life will increase to 3 days. And this is a cool indicator.
