Comparison of Galaxy S6 in different colors. All Galaxy S8 body colors and which one is better to buy

The Samsung Galaxy S6 has appeared with a lot of buzz, finally introducing changes in design, materials and fixes for the flaws that were in the Galaxy S5. Now we have a real premium smartphone with a beautiful metal and glass body, but at the same time, there were some compromises - the back panel and battery were not removable, and there is no way to increase the amount of memory. Although at the expense of a non-removable battery you can already argue a little. Either way, the Galaxy S6 looks great! You just have to choose a model with the required memory capacity (32/64/128 GB) and the desired color. At the expense of memory - here the choice is yours, since you yourself know approximately how quickly it fills up. But with the choice of color, we can help.

First, the glass backs of the Galaxy S6 are very different from any plastic, be it matte or translucent. Glass reflects and refracts color in its own way. It is especially important to choose the color of the smartphone because the back panel is not removable and you cannot replace it with any other color. You are only given the choice that Samsung makes.

Let's start the comparison, probably with the classic versions of the Galaxy S6 - white and black. The white model of the smartphone still retains a "classic" look, no matter how you look at the device. On the other hand, the black version tends to refract light and become slightly bluish. All this is due to the transparency of the material. Don't expect the Galaxy S6 to have a deep black body, but I note that this option looks no less stylish from any angle.

And here we are already looking at the Galaxy S6 in golden color, although at some angles the golden color becomes tinged with pink. However, this does not interfere with harmoniously complementing each other with a metal frame and gold-colored glass panels. Note that this is the most prominent model among the entire line.

Finally, we got to the fourth model of the Galaxy S6 - a real exclusive, because the Galaxy S6 Edge did not receive such an option. This is a blue (blue) version of the flagship that is eye-catching, but at the same time it is one of the most unusual options. It will suit those people who like unusual combinations.

However, you can choose for yourself without a clue what color you want to buy the Galaxy S6.

Samsung has chosen several color solutions for its 2017 flagships, and was able to truly surprise its fans. Indeed, in addition to the "standard" black and silver cases, the new Galaxy S8 will be presented in several more colors.

So, officially, at the moment, the brand new Galaxy S8 will be sold in the following colors:

  1. Midnight black - midnight black.
  2. Arctic Silver - Arctic silver.
  3. Maple Gold - maple gold.
  4. Coral Blue - blue coral.
  5. Orchid Gray is a gray orchid.

All these colors were shown to us at the presentation. But, it is far from a fact that each of these colors will "reach" Russia. And this is confirmed by the Galaxy S8 pre-order page, where Russian buyers are offered only three body color options:

  • Black brilliant.
  • Yellow topaz.
  • Mystical amethyst.

And if everything is more or less clear with the first two, the black diamond is Midnight black, and the yellow topaz is Maple Gold. What is this color - mystical amethyst? According to the images on the pre-order page, this is nothing more than Orchid Gray.

Samsung is certainly great fellows (no - they just confused everyone) that they came up with such cool marketing names, but in the end it all comes down (for Russia at this stage of sales), to three "usual" body colors:

  1. Black.
  2. To gray.
  3. Golden.

As you can see, the coolest, in our opinion, blue color is not yet available in Russia. As well as silver.

An interesting point is that all this confusion with the names led to the fact that at one time on the Yandex market a yellow Galaxy S8 was available for pre-order. Not gold, but yellow! Eh, I had to take :)

Let's think about what color smartphone should you buy?

  1. The black. Surely, it will be the most popular - but at the same time, it is not devoid of certain disadvantages. Perhaps the main one is fingerprints. There is no escape from them. Let us recall at least the example of the "splattered" iPhone 7 Onyx Black - here it will probably be almost the same.
  2. Gray and gold, this flaw will be deprived. But at the same time, they look less "premium" than a completely black device.

As we said, it's a shame that not all of the announced Galaxy S8 colorways are available for purchase at the moment. And if you shouldn't worry about silver, then S8 in blue color of the case, in our opinion, would become the only breath of fresh air in the dominance of black-white-gold gadgets. Alas, according to Samsung, we still have to wait ...

P.S. Which Galaxy S8 are you missing? Maybe green, red or something else? Write in the comments!

The line of flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S10 has taken into account the needs of all potential buyers. Fans of top-end devices were offered a niche giant, but it will appear in limited countries. The beautiful and the most compact in the segment have become massive.

  • battery: 3400 mAh

  • dimensions: 149.9x70.4x7.8 mm, weight: 157 g
  • OS: Android 9 Pie

Appearance and size

Samsung Galaxy S10 looks like a match for 10+: the same chic body colors, the same steel around the perimeter, unpainted camera window. The display has retained a chip with a slot for the front camera. Only this is a round hole like y, but the edges are curved (hello S10 +).

The smartphone is perceived as expensive in appearance, it feels the same in the hands. Even not the most attractive black color, due to its incomplete blackness, catches the eye.

The reduced bezels made it possible, by barely enlarging the body of the S9, to insert a display 0.3 inches larger. One-handed use, however, is difficult for the device: the thin end and the bent display do not allow you to fully enjoy the dimensions.

The manufacturer did not limit the lineup to massively averaged sizes, but added an intermediate S10. But ultimately, most people will not be able to handle this device with one hand. Although the dimensions are really smaller than the S10 +. At the same time, there were no simplifications, as in the smallest smartphone.

Display and performance

The Samsung Galaxy S10 featured an identical S10 + display - it's AMOLED with similarly excellent saturation and brightness, DCI-P3 and HDR10 + support. Only at low brightness do barely noticeable greenish tints appear. You can see them especially well on curved edges, but in everyday use you don't pay attention to the feature.

All the strengths and weaknesses of the matrix are valid for the smaller novelty. The only difference is the 6.1-inch diagonal at a resolution of 3040 × 1440 pixels gives an even higher pixel density. However, the difference is minor, no problems are noticeable even with the Full HD mode active.

The chipset in the device also does not differ from the sister and S10 +, as well as the overall performance. The Exynos 9820 delivered similar benchmark results and performed well in games. Apps run smoothly and quickly, the shell is nimble and comfortable, thanks to the new OneUI.

8 GB of RAM is enough for any background operations. A dozen programs are not unloaded, including two games and navigation.

The device will cope well with any tasks, both with calculations and displaying the result. Excellent hardware is a standard feature of all Samsung smartphones, the novelty is no exception.

Autonomy

Samsung Galaxy S10 received a 3400 mAh battery. This is 300 mAh more than the one, but the battery life is hardly better. A smartphone was enough for a day with some restrictions. On average, with 22-25 hours of standby, it turned out 4 hours of active display.

Full resolution did not turn on, the default mode was Full HD. But the loads were also serious: three messengers, two mails, a dozen programs, a lot of social networks, half an hour of Uber and 15 minutes of turn-by-turn navigation, as well as a 20-minute photo session.

The S10 + was used in much the same way, but it managed to squeeze out 7 hours of the screen with a similar runtime. And this is with the maximum display resolution available. A mass user can count on a confident day in S10, but increased loads or overly active operation are dangerous.

The charging speed was not fully tested due to the lack of a complete charger. But it is the same as that of other representatives of the series. indicators can be expected to be close: about half of the battery in half an hour, full charge - one and a half.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy S10 has a triple camera system from the S10 +. The main innovation is the ultra-wide third module with a resolution of 16 megapixels and f / 2.4. It is inferior in quality to other modules, but it reveals creativity. It is also convenient to photograph a large group of people in a confined space.

The duo of other lenses has remained the same: the main 12 Mp with OIS and variable aperture, as well as the telephoto lens (12 Mp, OIS, f / 2.4). The latter is deactivated in conditions of insufficient lighting, the automation switches to the main lens with a 2x zoom and f / 1.5.

Both modules show good quality, especially when it comes to richness and dynamic range. Fast focusing is no longer surprising, seen in its predecessors. But the algorithm was corrected: the sharpness became more pleasant, although a slight oversaturation was preserved.

High quality photos are complemented by advanced camera software with machine learning mode. The latter is responsible for assessing the scene and setting the desired parameters. The device copes well with night shooting, but such photos suffer from too high exposure. It would be nice for machine learning to remember when the user regularly lowers the exposure, and it did so over time.

The camera takes pictures well (all photos are original). It was not possible to find a difference in comparison with the more expensive S10 +, so you can check the originals of the latter in Google Photos. There will be more examples. The conclusion has not changed either: users like software features, and three focal lengths in one smartphone is the best thing that has happened to mobile photography.

Extra features

The Samsung Galaxy S10 stands out with an impressive under-screen fingerprint scanner. It is ultrasonic, which means that unlocking can take place without activating the display. However, the accuracy of work is still not as good as with contract sites: you have to press your finger a little harder and wait a little longer. But according to the logic of interaction, this is definitely better than both the location on the back and in the lock button.

Reverse charging helps in difficult moments to help a friend with a dead iPhone. You can also charge accessories, but it's inconvenient, as the site told about in an older smartphone. Additional functions are all in place, from software to moisture protection or DeX mode.

NFC for contactless payments and other advanced radio technologies are present, and Wi-Fi 6 has been added. Routers supporting the latter are vanishingly few, but the popularity will grow, and the Samsung flagship will be among the first to enjoy the technology.

The scope of delivery of the smartphone corresponds to the rest of the line: the package includes a headset from AKG. It produces excellent sound (by the standards of compact headphones - the best) with good bass. The scattering of nozzles allows for excellent isolation from the outside world. If wired technologies do not deter you, you will not have to buy additional headphones for every day.

Competitors

Samsung Galaxy S10 is sold in Ukrainian retail in 8/128 GB configuration for UAH 29,999. Consumers are offered three colors: black, emerald and pearl.

Almost no different. Only the autonomy of a large device pleases, and the display is larger enough to get more pleasure from content consumption. At a cost of UAH 32,999, there is no reason why you should buy the S10. Only if the regular version lends itself to one-handed operation and size really matters.

But the real choice of dimensions will be 6/128 GB for UAH 24,999. It is the smallest flagship on the market and a great smartphone overall. As the site noted in, it's not so bad without a telephoto, and the fingerprint scanner in the button seemed even the best option. The battery is barely inferior to the S10, but the size difference is noticeable.

There is a small stratum of people who like to use a smartphone with one hand and who have palms large enough for the S10. For these consumers, the novelty will seem ideal, but for the rest it is better to take a closer look at the brothers.

the iPhone Xs seems rather weak, but the alternative: the screen is about the same, the autonomy is better, and to some, iOS seems to be an advantage. But Samsung has much more additional features, and the camera is more versatile. Moreover, Xs costs UAH 29,999 for 64 GB in Ukraine. However, the size of the Xs is more likely to compete with the S10e than the regular S10.

findings

Samsung Galaxy S10 has absorbed all the capabilities of the older device. The rich functional set and attractive appearance make the new product cool and desirable. And even the price of UAH 29,999 can hardly scare away.

On closer inspection of the entire line, it becomes more difficult to choose - the S10 + is still much better with a battery, and the large screen is more suitable for media consumption. The dimensions of the S10 are not so small that most can handle it in one palm. With two hands, you can use the S10 +.

The S10e solves the size issue for a much wider potential audience. You will have to pay with small simplifications, but the difference in price is more significant. However, it is still a very cool smartphone by the standards of compact flagships. The S10 cannot be included in this category at all desire: it is too large.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is a wonderful modern flagship. But he has a serious alternative in the face of "plus". And buying the regular version is more likely seen as a compromise. And if you are already making sacrifices for the sake of dimensions, then it is better to jump on the train of the only compact among the top devices.

Does the size of a regular S10 seem perfect? We must take, this is the most advanced flagship smartphone today.

The S10 Plus and S10e are available in a variety of vibrant colors. Whether you need help picking a color and style, or just want to take a look at all the available colors, here are all Samsung Galaxy S10 designs.

Prism Black

The Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10e phones will be available in Prism Black almost everywhere you look. The back has a glossy black finish that we've seen hundreds of times, but that doesn't stop the smartphone from looking stylish. The frame of the smartphone is made in the same black color to tie the image together.

PrismWhite

Prism White offers a good balance of brightness and style without overdoing it. The neat white back is easy on the eye, but depending on how the light falls, you'll see subtle hues of blue or pink. Similar to Prism Black, the phone is available in white in almost every store in the country.

PrismBlue

Prism Blue will also be available for the Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10e. The blue is similar to the one you can find at, a little brighter and sharper. In addition to the blue, the backs of the phones are also coated with a layer of blue-like paint to enhance the play of colors and round off the aesthetic.

Flamingo Pink (Pink)

As the name suggests, Pink Flamingos are very similar to the hot pink color that is common to real flamingos. It's a warm color that's nice to look at and readily available for all Galaxy S10 models.

Prism Green (Green)

Prism Green is one of the most eye-catching colors you can find for the Galaxy S10, with a deep blue / green glass in our opinion the most eye-catching color Samsung has come up with to date. Unfortunately, the color will not be available everywhere. At least for the time being, Prism Green is quite limited in Russia.

Canary Yellow

Canary Yellow is by far the brightest color Samsung has to offer for the S10, and whatever your opinion on it, you can't deny that it really grabs attention in an instant. Right now, Samsung is sticking with Canary Yellow solely for the more affordable.

Ceramic Black (The black)

If you really want to make sure your Galaxy S10 is like no other, then you should consider purchasing a Ceramic Black model. Available exclusively for the large, this finish replaces the regular S10 glass with a ceramic bezel. The price of the phone goes up by $ 250 (16250r), but heck it looks great.

Ceramic White (White)

Another ceramic color that Samsung offers is Ceramic White. Basically, the idea here is the same as with Ceramic Black, except for the fact that black changes to white. White in this rendition looks much cleaner than Prism White, but like Ceramic Black, Ceramic White is only available with the S10 Plus.

For whom Galaxy S10 Prism Black?

While we're fans of all the vibrant colors, including pretty much every smartphone we've seen in the past couple of years, bold choices aren't for everyone.

If you prefer to keep your phone in the background and not stand out from the crowd, Prism Black is the way to go. Sure, it's an attractive color, but it doesn't offer anything new or exciting. For some buyers, it will be exactly what they are looking for.

For whom Galaxy S10 Prism White?

People who were hoping for a pure white might be disappointed with Prism White, but we appreciate Samsung's overall aesthetic.

Compared to Prism Black and some other colors, Prism White takes the middle ground with a unique sense of style without being overly vibrant.

This will likely be another popular choice for most users.

For whom Galaxy S10 Prism Blue?

Unlike Prism Black and Prism White, Prism Blue is a color that stands out very clearly in the sea of \u200b\u200bordinary, boring phones.

Samsung has been playing with blue for a couple of years now, but Prism Blue may not be the best version just yet. It looks easy and also gives the S10 a truly unique look.

For whom Galaxy S10 Flamingo Pink?

Similar to the other colors we'll look at a little later, Flamingo Pink is a style that people will love or hate. Its overly vibrant, colorful nature may be incredibly attractive to some people, but to others, it can be considered overwhelming.

Regardless of your personal opinion of color, it's great to see Samsung trying out such bold styles.

For whom Galaxy S10 Prism Green?

Prism Green is a color you can choose if you weren't impressed with Prism Blue or Flamingo Pink. It is a truly stunning color that looks more unique than the “common” blue or pink colors.

Despite the attractiveness of this color, regional availability can be an issue.

If you don't find it in Russia, you can certainly try to import your device from another country, but for most users, we recommend a safe route - choose from the available colors in your city.

For whom Galaxy S10 Ceramic Black / Ceramic White?

These two colors are for those looking for an exclusive, premium look for their S10. In addition to being more expensive, since you have to buy the S10 Plus versus the regular S10, you will also pay for a ceramic coating instead of settling for glass on the back.

The price barrier will likely keep most people from spending money on Ceramic White and Ceramic Black, but for people who have the means to afford these smartphones, they will become desirable.

For whom Galaxy S10 Canary Yellow?

If you have a fun, light, flamboyant personality, it seems highly likely that your choice will fall on the Samsung Galaxy S10 Canary Yellow.

No, it's not an expensive option at all, but it is extremely colorful and even more intense yellow than Apple.
