Huawei honor 5a smartphone description. Design, dimensions, controls

At the very beginning of August 2016, Huawei announced the Honor 5A smartphone for the domestic market. This is a budget solution for young people, as well as the youngest model in the family. The device costs a little more than $ 100, but it offers a very good filling and interesting design performance for this money.

Appearance and ergonomics

Huawei Honor 5A cannot charm at first glance, but it is not at all a shame to show your friends this gadget. Thanks to its compact size, the device fits comfortably into any pockets or women's clutches. The smartphone is controlled extremely easily even with one hand, as the thumb freely reaches any point on the screen. The body of the smartphone is made of plastic, which is quite expected for a truly budget device. Navigation buttons are present in the interface, but there are no mechanical keys under the display.

At 8.9mm thin, the Honor 5A is absolutely not plump. The exterior of the device is very elegant. The back panel, which is textured, stands out especially. This allows the smartphone not to slip in your hands, as well as to get rid of fingerprints. The cover can be easily removed, since the battery is removable here. The assembly is done fine, but the body lacks rigidity, namely the side faces. Honor 5A is available in the following colors: white, gold and black.

Display

The Huawei Honor 5A houses a 5-inch screen with a quite classic HD resolution - 1280 by 720 pixels. Good detail is somewhat spoiled by the vague small print. An IPS matrix is installed here, which means you can count on large viewing angles. At the same time, the contrast seriously drops when the gaze is strongly averted. The sensor was very responsive. The excellent brightness of the flagship-level display will also please. But the contrast of the screen is only satisfactory, because there is clearly not enough color saturation.

Iron and performance

The device from Huawei is based on the MediaTek MT6735C chip with four cores (Cortex-A53) and a clock speed of 1300 MHz. The Honor 5A has 16GB for internal storage as well as 2GB of RAM. The device is ready to expand the memory without any problems if you insert a microSD card with a capacity of up to 128 GB. The graphics accelerator is the Mali-T720 chip with a frequency of 600 MHz.

The performance level of Honor 5A in modern realities leaves much to be desired. Of course, for simple tasks, the available performance is sufficient, and the interface works smoothly. But in three-dimensional games and heavy programs, the smartphone behaves unconvincingly. This is confirmed by tests: AnTuTu - 33000 points, Ice Storm Unlimited - 4900 points, GFXBench 3 - 471 (T-Rex Offscreen).

Communication and sound

The smartphone supports two nano-SIMs, one of which works in 4G or 3G networks, and the other 2G. There is support for LTE with a maximum speed of up to 150 Mbps. It has Bluetooth 4.0 as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n. Communication quality is standard for this class of devices. The sound is loud enough, but without any miracles in terms of purity.

Camera

The Honor 5A doesn't focus on taking great photos, but the 13MP dual-flash camera performs well in its segment. During the daytime, the module is especially vivid. But when the lighting level drops, various artifacts come out, and the contrast drops sharply. User can adjust sharpness, brightness, ISO and other parameters. The camera has a nice and modern interface. On the left side of the case there is a "smart" key for "hidden" shooting.

The front 5-megapixel camera has absolutely nothing to boast about. True, the presence of a facial flash is surprising, which can come in handy when creating an evening selfie. Self-portrait lovers will also appreciate the Beautify mode to maximize their image.

findings

In its price segment, the Huawei Honor 5A has a good chance of success. On the side of this budget-class smartphone, there is a pleasant appearance, a decent camera, a front-facing flash, support for LTE and two SIM-cards. In terms of value for money, Honor 5A is an excellent choice.

Video reviews

The speaker of our hero is not good enough, as in most Huawei / Honor models - quiet, illegible and at the same time squealing with high frequencies. Sony smartphones sound like this after they bathe in a pond, while for budget Huawei, this sound meets the owner immediately. It's a shame, but apart from the P9 Lite in the budget and middle class, smartphones of both brands reproduce ringtones unsatisfactorily.

There is also nothing to rejoice in the headphones either - the MT6735 never shone with high-quality sound in comparison with the similarly priced Snapdragon, but in the case of the Honor 5A, no one even tried to mask the shortcomings of the smartphone's audio path. If you do not turn the volume level above 60-70% - and such a sound will do (although the same Lenovo A6010 sounds much cooler), and at the maximum volume level, the sound turns into mush even in headphones. That is, the sound itself seems to be a lot, but all together it looks like an audio system "from a minibus". This is if you listen to sound in a smartphone using large monitor headphones. In the "plugs" the problem on this scale no longer unfolds, but the low frequencies are not enough (where is my DOLBIT NORMAL'NO?). And percussion, that is, "cymbals" and other percussion instruments, sound dirty - like on a copy cassette that you blinded on your home tape recorder until Vityok took his collection of music back.

Iron

In 2015, in a smartphone cheaper than 10 thousand rubles, Huawei could offer an eight-core processor. Not the coolest, but with modern Cortex-A53 cores and LTE support (which for some unknown reason was cut from the Honor 4C). But in 2016, smartphones costing up to 10 thousand have to be content with a four-core MediaTek. Thanks, though not cut off at the very 1.0 GHz.

The design of the smartphone can be called rather nondescript, and the body is very high, but collapsible, which already looks unusual today.

The main body material is plastic. Only the frame stylized as a metal looks unusual, which is why from the end the smartphone can be confused with a more expensive model. Thanks to the contoured backrest, it lies pleasantly and securely in the palm of your hand, and thanks to the compact diagonal, it can be operated with one hand. The device body is collapsible, and the cover and battery are removable. Having disassembled the smartphone, you can see separate slots for two SIM and for a MicroSD card. The build quality can be called high for a budget employee - there is no backlash or creaks anywhere, the case is quite strong, and the lid fits snugly, except that it is not so easy to remove.

Huawei Honor 5A is available in three colors - black, white and gold.

Screen - 3.9

The screen of the Huawei Honor 5A is not great, but it is clear and bright enough. Still, it would be naive to expect something more for such a price tag.

The smartphone is equipped with a clear 5-inch IPS-screen with HD-resolution (1280 × 720 pixels). The pixel density is 294 per inch, which is enough to not see individual pixels on the screen. There is no information on the use of protective glass. The screen gets dirty quite easily with fingerprints, but it is difficult to wipe it off. The measured brightness range turned out to be quite wide, from 13 to 514 nits, which, on the one hand, is close to a comfortable level for the eyes in the dark, and on the other hand, it provides good readability in the sun. Nevertheless, in the daytime the screen is still not perfectly readable, but this is the fault of the moderate contrast ratio - 700: 1, besides, there are slight inaccuracies with the color reproduction (evenly for all colors). The phone has an auto-brightness function, but it works slowly, sometimes ignoring the changing light conditions. But the color gamut is not bad for a low price - 93% of the standard sRGB. Also, the color temperature turned out to be too high - 8200 degrees, which makes the picture a little bluish. However, this error can be corrected manually in the display settings.

Cameras - 2.5

Despite the seemingly high resolution of 13 and 5 MP, the Huawei Honor 5A cameras did not impress us. They are unlikely to replace your budget camera, and high-quality pictures and selfies can only be taken in good lighting.

The main camera is inferior to that of both the Honor 5C and the Honor 4C. It focuses for a long time and is rather sluggish when shooting in HDR mode and in low light conditions. Colors are reproduced well, but a little pale. The detail of objects for their resolution is low, the sharpness is uneven across the frame, there is a lot of noise (or the consequences of their "blurring"), and light sources entering the frame can easily ditch it. That is, the camera is frankly weak from all sides. A high-quality photo can only be obtained during the day, but indoors it does not cope well with shooting. At the same time, it is a little surprising that with a 13 MP sensor, the camera records video at a resolution no higher than 1280 × 720 pixels, which is quite a bit.

The 5 MP front camera in terms of quality is not far from the 2 MP front cameras two years ago. It makes a lot of noise (especially in the room), and the detail of the frames is so low that even the proprietary skin smoothing filters are no longer needed. In addition, we can say that, despite the 5 MP, the video recording resolution is limited by HD-resolution.

Working with text - 5.0

You can easily and conveniently work with texts on your smartphone. There are two keyboards to choose from in the device interface: a standard one from Google and its own Huawei Swype.

You have most likely seen the first one on any other Android phone. It can highlight fast switching between languages and support for continuous word input (Swype). The Huawei Swype keyboard has the eponymous continuous input feature, additional character markup and gesture control. As a minus, we note the inconvenient switching between languages - by pressing the space bar and "swipe" up. If you are not satisfied with these keyboards, you can easily install any other one from the Play Market.

Internet - 5.0

Initially, the Chrome and Opera browsers are preinstalled on the Huawei Honor 5A. Although the second one was initially hidden for some reason, but it can be found in the settings among applications or simply by searching on the desktop. Chrome is the default one that comes preinstalled on most Android devices. It works fast and can sync with the desktop version to display bookmarks and history. But Opera has such features as reading mode and automatic fit of text to the width of the screen. At the same time, it is a pity that the company, apparently, got rid of its own proprietary browser - we personally liked it no less. However, you can install any browser you like yourself.

Communications - 2.6

The set of communications Huawei Honor 5A can be called typical for today:

 • simple Wi-Fi b / g / n with the ability to distribute the Internet via Wi-Fi
 • Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP profile
 • pretty fast LTE Cat. 4, up to 150 Mbps
 • A-GPS with GLONASS support
 • FM radio (only works with headphones).

The only unusual thing here is the presence of relatively fast LTE and FM radio, which are ignored by many flagships, for example, the Samsung Galaxy S7. A standard Micro-USB 2.0 connector is used for charging and connecting to a PC. The phone works with two micro SIM cards, each of which has a separate slot, as well as a memory card.

Multimedia - 4.2

Huawei Honor 5A cannot boast of high sound quality, but it supports a fairly wide range of audio and video formats.

So, the phone plays tracks in FLAC (the audio player does not see them, but they are launched directly from the file manager), but is not friendly with music in AC-3. With video formats, everything is fine; during the tests, difficulties arose only with RMVB and some WMV and MPG videos.

The phone is preinstalled with a simple but nicely designed audio player. It includes an equalizer with a set of presets and several effects. The preinstalled video player has the ability to rewind, change the sound volume and brightness using "swipes" in different areas of the screen. In addition, you can block the image (so that it does not close from accidental touch) or start the video in a small window over the desktop or applications.

Battery - 2.5

The battery life of Huawei Honor 5A, as expected, turned out to be low, with rather intensive use of the smartphone, it is hardly enough for a day of work. This is quite typical for a state employee, but you always want more, especially when there are long-running competitors.

The smartphone received a battery with a capacity of only 2200 mAh. This is a low figure for a 5-inch HD-screen, it is compensated only by a not very "gluttonous" chipset. Perhaps, such a battery was installed deliberately in order to reduce the price and differentiate the smartphone from another novelty in 2016 - the long-playing state employee Honor 4C Pro with almost the same characteristics.

So, Honor 5A worked 6 hours when watching HD-movies at maximum brightness, this is an average result comparable to the ZTE Blade X5 and more than an hour ahead of the Lenovo A6010. But at the same time, there are state employees who have been doing this for longer, for example, Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) or Lenovo A5000. At the same time, the results in the audio test turned out to be weak - only 32 hours, only the rapidly discharging Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML or the ultra-thin and ultra-light Fly IQ4516 Tornado were worse. On the other hand, the phone performed well in mid-level games - up to 4 hours in not the most demanding toys. Recording HD video takes 21% of the charge in half an hour - this is a lot, especially considering that we usually record Full HD videos for this test, here such a resolution is simply not available.

Performance - 2.2

The performance of the Huawei Honor 5A is decent for a budget phone with an entry-level chipset. He is quite successful in solving everyday problems and copes with most games.

The phone is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and the popular quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor (clocked at up to 1.3 GHz). A similar one was used in ZTE Blade X5, Oukitel K10000 and many others. The choice of processor looks strange after last year's Honor 4C, which at a similar price tag was equipped with a more powerful eight-core chipset. Nevertheless, the hardware of the Honor 5A smartphone provides a fairly smooth operation of the interface and most games. He is able to handle even heavy and demanding, but only at low graphics settings. So, the ported game Oddworld at low resolution runs smoothly enough, and the average Thumb Drift slows down at high settings, but quite a bit. It is curious that during games the body of the phone remains quite cool, almost not getting warm in the hands.

In various benchmarks, the smartphone receives points comparable to the results of Lenovo A6010 and Samsung Galaxy A3:

 • in GeekBench 4 - 1592 points (more than a hundred inferior to the flagship of three years ago LG Nexus 5)
 • in AnTuTu 6 - 32659 (20 thousand lower than Honor 5C)
 • in 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited - up to 4869 (similar to Honor 4C Pro).

Memory - 3.5

The built-in memory of the Huawei Honor 5A is 16 GB, of which about 10.15 GB is available to the user. If that weren't enough, then the smartphone has a microSD card slot, with which you can add up to 128GB. It is noteworthy that the card slot is not a combined one, but a separate one, but it is a little upsetting that it is covered by a battery, that is, it will not be possible to replace the card without rebooting. In addition, it turned out that only part of the pre-installed applications such as Sberbank, WPS Office or Odnoklassniki can be removed from the phone. They are not transferred to a memory card, but quite a few applications and games from the Play Market are willingly installed on it.

Features of the

Honor 5A runs Android 5.1 and proprietary Emotion UI 3.1. These are far from the most recent versions, and there is no information about the update. Most likely, it will not be, although the budget did not prevent the manufacturer from updating the Honor 4C and Honor 4X from Android 4.4 to Android 6.

Despite the low price tag, the phone has several features. So, a removable battery and separate slots for a second SIM-card and a memory card look unusual today. In addition, the novelty received an additional Smart Key button, like the Honor 7. With the latter, you can control the phone: it distinguishes between single and double presses, as well as pressing with hold. Moreover, you yourself are free to choose which commands they will execute in the smartphone.

Introduction

A couple of weeks ago, Huawei announced another low-cost smartphone called the Honor 5A. In general, Honor is a sub-brand, so it is customary to mention it without Huawei. So, before us is a smartphone, the cost of which is 8,000 rubles. For this money, the user is provided with the following features: a 5-inch screen with an HD IPS-matrix, good quality camera modules, fourth-generation communications, 2 gigabytes of RAM and a selfie flash for lovers of nightlife.

Design, dimensions, controls

The novelty looks almost identical to the Honor 4C Pro. The only new element is the glossy edging along the perimeter of the front side, which gives the device a more elegant appearance. The shape of the body is rectangular, the corners are sloping, the back side smoothly passes to the sides. The lid is embossed, pleasant to the touch, but a little slippery. The backing of the front panel is monochromatic; a pattern in the form of small dots was noticeable in the 4C Pro.

The body is completely made of plastic. The back panel and edges are semi-glossy. The front side is protected by glass. If there is an oleophobic coating, it is extremely unimportant: fingerprints are noticeable, it is not easy to remove, the finger does not slide well.

There are three color options: black, white and gold (as in our case). I would recommend taking a closer look at the last option: the smartphone looks pretty, there is no feeling of a cheap Chinese device.

The assembly did not disappoint: the body does not creak, does not play, the cover does not press through to the battery, the device does not crunch when twisted.

It fits perfectly in the hand due to its small size, low weight, sloping edges.

On top of the front of the device there are a camera and sensors (for some reason asymmetrical), a flash and a speech speaker. It is relatively loud, the interlocutor can be heard clearly and legibly, the timbre is closer to the middle frequencies, there is not enough sonority.

At the bottom - microUSB, speakerphone and microphone. Above is a second microphone for noise cancellation and a 3.5 mm audio output for headphones.

On the right are the power button and volume rocker. The pressure is soft, the stroke is average. On the left is a separate dedicated "Easy Key" button.

In the settings, you can choose to launch applications with a long hold, with two short clicks. I put two short clicks to activate the camera.

On the reverse side, the camera lens rises slightly, next to it is a double flash.

The cover is removable. Under it is a removable battery, two slots for microSIM and a slot for a memory card.

Honor 5A and LG G4

Display

The Honor 5A uses a 5-inch display. The 4C Pro had the same number. The screen matrix is IPS OGS, the resolution is HD, that is, 720x1280 pixels.

The backlight brightness is not high, the picture is hard to read in the light. The viewing angles are maximum, at the corners the image does not turn purple or yellow. As it seemed to me, in 5A the matrix is better relative to 4C and 4C Pro.

Battery

The capacity of a removable lithium-polymer battery in the new product is 2200 mAh. This is the main difference from the 4C Pro. Let me remind you that the "firmware" has a 4000 mAh battery.

According to my data, Honor 5A "lives" a little more than half a day, with not the most active use. If you load the device, as they say, to the full extent, then you should count on about 6-7 hours. The video "plays" for about 5 hours, you can play with toys for about an hour.

In general, the battery is weak, even a simple chip from MediaTek and the low brightness of the matrix backlight do not help.

Communication capabilities

The smartphone supports the operation of two sim cards. Naturally, there is only one radio module. Wireless networks:

 • 2G - 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
 • 3G - HSPA + up to 42 Mbps
 • 4G LTE - Band 1, 3, 7, 8, 20 (Cat4 up to 150 Mbps)

The rest is typical: Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, no NFC, OTG mode is not supported.

The device "sees" both GPS and GLONASS satellites. Signal reception is excellent, sensitivity is high.

During testing, there were no unpleasant cases with disconnections, weak cellular signal. The power of the vibration alert is slightly above average, you can feel it in the pockets of your trousers and jacket.

Memory and memory card

The developers did not skimp on RAM, so in this model you can find 2 GB of RAM. For a device that costs 8,000 rubles, this is just an excellent indicator.

Built-in memory 16 GB (read speed - 155 Mbit / s, write speed - 78 Mbit / s), about 10 GB is available for the user. There is a slot for a microSD memory card. The maximum card size can be 128 GB.

Cameras

The main module is 13 MP (aperture F2.0, an angle of 27 mm), the front module is 5 MP (aperture F2.4, a very wide angle - 22 mm).

Apparently, Honor 5A, Honor 4X and Honor 4C have the same camera modules, at least I didn't notice a big difference. It is possible that in Honor 4C and 5A the automation works a little worse: sometimes it misses the white balance, especially in insufficient lighting conditions.

The rear camera shoots video in HD resolution at 30 fps. The quality is normal, nothing interesting. The front camera shoots videos in HD quality.

The selfie lens is wide angle and I really liked its quality.

For the device, the cost of which is about 8,000 rubles, shots are obtained quite at the level of smartphones for 15,000 rubles.

Sample photos

Performance

The Honor 5A smartphone operates on the MediaTek MT6735P chipset (4 cores up to 1000 MHz). The Mali-T720 is responsible for the graphics. This is a simple chip used by budget gadgets. Nevertheless, 5A is a nimble guy: no jerking, slowing down, everything is smooth and fast. Unkilled toys run smoothly on medium settings. You can run at maximum, but the graphics slow down.

Antutu test

At the end of summer 2016, the world famous company Huawei announced the budget series Huawei Honor 5a. We are reviewing it.

The average cost of this gadget is 8 thousand rubles.

Comparing the price of the device and the final functionality, we can conclude that Huawei has done its best.

If you want to familiarize yourself with the gadget in more detail before buying, then our review and characteristics of Huawei Honor 5a will be useful to you.

Characteristics

 • Body material: plastic and glass;
 • OS: Android 5;
 • SIM: 2 sim cards;
 • Processor: MediaTek MT6735P, 4 cores, 1300 MHz;
 • RAM: 2 GB;
 • Data storage: 16 GB + MicroCD slot;
 • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0;
 • Connectors: MicroUSB for battery charging and synchronization, 3.5 mm headset jack;
 • Screen: 5 ”, capacitive, maximum resolution 720 × 1280;
 • Camera: 13 megapixels, autofocus, front camera - 5 megapixels, flash;
 • Accelerometer, proximity sensor, FM radio;
 • Battery: 2200 mAh;
 • Dimensions: 144.2 x 72.5 x 8.95 mm;
 • Smartphone weight: 140 grams.

Design, dimensions and controls

The design concept is very similar to the predecessor of this series.

There are only minor changes, expressed in the bezel of the front of the phone with a glossy finish.

This design move gives the device a more elegant and stylish look.

The body has a rectangular shape with smooth and neat corners.

The embossed back panel smoothly transitions to the side edges of the Huawei Honor 5a.

The back cover is made of embossed material, but it slips a little in the hands.

The body of the Huawei phone is completely made of plastic. The back panel of the smartphone and the side edges are semi-glossy, which looks pretty good.

The front side of the gadget is protected by glass with an olephobic coating.

The use of this technology is doubtful, because fingerprints are strongly visible on the sensor, and they are difficult to erase.

In addition, due to this coating, you feel discomfort during use, as your finger does not slide well on the screen.

Manufacturers provided the buyer with three body colors:

 • Black;
 • White;
 • Gold.

The colors of the smartphone should be chosen based on their own aesthetic inclinations.

The case in gold color looks more elegant and sophisticated.

After examining the case in detail, you don't get the feeling that this is a cheap Chinese phone.

It is pleasant to hold and comfortable to use.

Summing up the intermediate result, making a review of Huawei Honor 5a, I would like to make a positive conclusion.

The case is assembled with high quality. The phone does not creak, no backlashes were detected, and the back panel does not fall into the battery.

In addition, due to the optimal dimensions and light weight, the smartphone is pleasant to hold in the hand.

Now let's move on to the front of the phone.

At the top, above the screen, there is a front camera, flash, proximity sensor and speaker.

Immediately striking is the absence of any symmetry.

This does not affect the work and comfort of use in any way, but it delivers aesthetic dissatisfaction.

Front panel Huawei Honor 5a

Speaking of the speaker, nothing bad can be said.

The interlocutor can be heard clearly and loudly during the conversation, the sound without extraneous hesitation.

The bottom edge of the phone has a built-in Micro USB for charging and syncing, a headset jack, a microphone and a speaker for hands-free calling.

On the right side there is a power off button, volume settings and a special key "Easy Key".

This button is for quick access to the most popular applications and operations.

The keys are pressed softly and pleasantly, without crunching or unpleasant sounds.

The back cover houses a slightly protruding camera and dual flash.

Removing the back panel, we can see the phone's battery, 2 connectors for and 1 slot for.

Display

This Huawei smartphone is equipped with a five-inch display with an HD IPS matrix.

The screen resolution is 720 by 1280 pixels.

The image on the screen is perfectly visible from different angles, while it does not give off purple and yellow tints.

The disadvantage is the brightness of the phone. It is not high enough, so the image is very difficult to see in the sun.

The color saturation of the screen is pleasing. The colors are bright and expressive.

In general, the picture is pleasing to the eye and perfectly conveys all the shades and subtleties of the image.

Battery

The Honor 5a is equipped with a 2200 mAh Li-Polymer battery.

To be honest, it's worth saying that the battery is weak.

For comparison, the Honor 4c PRO has a 4000 mAh battery.

Having carried out a similar review of Huawei Honor 5a, we can confidently say that it will be difficult for the phone to “live” the whole day.

Here it is already worth thinking about purchasing an external battery for more confidence. The charge is enough for 1 \\ 2 days (with average use).

If you use the phone with a load, then the charge will be enough for about 7 hours of work.

Charge Huawei Honor 5A

In video viewing mode, the phone sits down after 5 hours of viewing. If you want to play some games, then count on 1.5 hours of work.

As a result, the battery is very weak and not practical.

The brightness adjustment and other functions that should reduce battery consumption do not even help here.

Communications

The smartphone has one radio module and works with two.

The phone supports 2G up to 1900 MHz, 3G up to 42 Mbps and 4G LTE up to 150 Mbps.

Of the minor minuses, we can note the absence and absence of OTG support.

The device works fine and flawlessly in GPS mode.

The signal receives well and with high sensitivity, which is good news.

In my review of Huawei, I did not find any significant deficiencies in the quality of cellular communication, data transmission, or in the work with GPS.

RAM and memory card for data storage

As for the RAM of the device, everything is fine here.

Recall that the average price of a phone is 8000 rubles and 2GB is an excellent indicator that ensures comfortable work.

Especially "in a duet" with four nuclear, but about it later.

The built-in phone memory for data storage is 16 GB.

The data read speed is 155 Mbps and the write speed is 78 Mbps.

About 10 GB is available for use, the rest of the space is occupied by system data.

There is a slot for Micro SD.

The maximum amount of card memory that the phone will support is 128 GB.

Again, a very good indicator.

As a result, the user can get 138 GB of memory for working with files.

Camera

The rear is 13 megapixels with an F2.0 aperture and an angle of 27 mm.

5 megapixel front camera with F2.4 aperture and 22mm wide angle.

Among the shortcomings, one can note small errors in the focusing of the image and in the white balance.

Sometimes it is incorrectly identified, especially in poor lighting conditions.

The rear camera shoots HD video at 30 frames per second.

In terms of the quality of the shooting, nothing supernatural and innovative can be noted.

The front camera also shoots HD video without any problems.

The quality of the front lens is good and the wide-angle image capture is especially pleasing.

Again, let's remember the price of a smartphone. This aspect is pleasing, because a similar quality of shooting is found in phones for 15,000 rubles.

Honor 5a is in no way inferior, and in some conditions even wins.

Operating system and performance metrics

The functionality of the Huawei Honor 5a is based on the MediaTek MT6735P chip.

This chipset has four cores and operates at frequencies up to 1000 MHz.

Graphics are average. Integrated graphics processor Mali-T720.

This graphics core is designed for mid-budget devices, but at least it gives good results.
