When solving various issues with Windows, very often you have to execute various commands through the "Run" menu (you can also use this menu to run those programs that are hidden from view).
Some programs, however, can be started using the Windows Control Panel, but, as a rule, it takes longer. In fact, which is easier, type one command and press Enter, or open 10 tabs?
In my recommendations, I just as often refer to certain commands, how to enter them, etc. That is why, the idea was born to create a small help article with the most necessary and popular commands, which often have to be run through "Run". So…
Question # 1: how to open the Run menu?
The question may not be so relevant, but just in case I will add it here.
On Windows 7 this function is built into the START menu, you just need to open it (screenshot below). You can also enter the required command in the line “ Find programs and files«.

In Windows 8, 10, just press the key combination Win and R , then a window will pop up in front of you, in which you need to enter the command and press Enter (see the screenshot below).

After upgrading to Windows 10, many users have a very natural question about how to find the "Run" menu. Unlike previous operating systems, this item is located in a slightly different place in the top ten. Let's consider several ways how to get to it.
The easiest and fastest option, which we have repeatedly earlier, is the "Win + R" key combination. However, there are times when, say, the keyboard is not available, and you need to get to this section in an alternative way.

Run command in Windows 7
Owners of the Windows 7 system, opening "Start", will not find the desired word, since the developers decided to extract the utility from there as unnecessary. - Right-click on "Start";

There is no need to look for the Execute command amidst this chaos - it is not there. In order to call the desired dialog, the familiar set of hotkeys "Win + R" or right-clicking on the "Start" icon is suitable.
Run command in Windows 10
There are three easy ways to open a coveted dialogue in Windows 10:
- Press the already favorite hotkeys "Win + R" - yes, this method is relevant for 10.
- Right-click on the updated Windows 10 Start icon and a list of laptop settings will open. In it we find our goal - ready.
- On the left side of the Windows 10 taskbar there is a Search item. If you enter the word "Execute" in it, then at the very top of the list will be the desired object. By clicking on the command icon, we can run it.

And today I would like to tell you about what the Run command in windows 10 is for, how to call it on behalf of a simple user and with administrator rights, and also give you several important commands that will make our life easier. Purpose of the Run command
The Run command makes life very easy for Windows users, regardless of version. If you need a program or service, then knowing the command, you can easily call it from this line, and not poke around and search for it on the desktop, folders or settings. I used to call all programs in the old fashioned way, but now I open most of them through the "execute" menu. It is very convenient and fast! There are times when the application cannot start, and the fault is that we are trying to start the task with the rights of a regular user. But the whole thing is that nowhere is there not the slightest hint of how to call the command to execute in Windows 10 as administrator. But I hasten to please you. There is such a way.
