Dir 300 nru rev \u200b\u200bb5 b6 firmware. DIR300 (nru b5) firmware from Beeline to factory
For the D-Link DIR-300 / NRU B5 router, today there are a number of firmwares, including customized ones that simplify configuration and optimized for work in networks, including the Beeline network.
Re-flashing the router is not difficult, and any user with minimal knowledge having detailed instructions, will be able to do it independently. You should not be afraid, there are ways to reanimate the router and return to the manufacturer's firmware, which we will also consider additionally.
Before starting the firmware, you need to find out the hardware revision (H / W) of your device. In order to correctly identify the hardware revision of the router, look at the label located on the underside of the device. Find the line on it that begins with "H / W Ver .:". The next letter and number indicate the hardware revision.
Do not install the firmware for DIR-300 / NRU hardware revisions B1, B2, B3 on the DIR-300 / NRU router with hardware revision B5. These are different devices and incorrect firmware leads to the inoperability of the router.
To date, the latest stable operating firmware from the manufacturer of the D-Link DIR-300 / NRU B5 router is 1.2.94. You can download the specified firmware from FTP D-Link at: ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-300_NRU/Firmware/REV_B5/.
Also for D-Link DIR-300 / NRU B5 there is a newer, customized firmware version 1.3.0. This firmware has a more user-friendly interface, easy to configure and, according to users, works stably like the official 1.2.94. You can download the specified firmware at: http://narod.ru/disk/42194227001.800b7a6ca00a4749212fc626bedf28ae/DIR_300NRUB5_1.3.0__12012012.bin.zip.html.
The process of flashing the router itself can be described in several steps:
1. Download and save your chosen firmware using the links above.
2. Launch your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google chrome) and in the address bar enter 192.168.0.1, press the Enter key. In routers previously flashed for Beeline, you must specify 192.168.1.1. A window will appear prompting you to enter your login and password to enter the router's web interface. Enter your username and password, and if the router is configured in the first, enter admin in both fields. You will be taken to the router settings page. The examples were created on firmware 1.2.94, and on routers with different firmware may differ, but not significantly.
3. Go to the System -\u003e Software update section.
4. Click the button, and in the window that appears, select the file with the previously downloaded firmware.
5. Click the Update button.
6. Wait while the router updates the firmware and reboots, this process can take up to 5 minutes. Do not disconnect the router from the power supply during this time. To avoid failures, it is recommended that you perform the update process by directly connecting the computer and the router via a cable (patch cord that comes with the router).
If, after restarting the router, a window appears prompting you to enter your username and password to enter the web interface, you can congratulate yourself on your luck and proceed to

D-Link DIR-300 NRU firmware Ver .: B6
Before proceeding with the description of the router update process, I ask you to clarify the software version of your equipment. Turn the device over, the sticker will show the model and version. See the picture below (Ver.:B5). Then you can download the file you want.
We have decided on the version, you can start uploading the update.
- Connect DIR-300 using an Ethernet cable to the network card of your computer. In this case, on the router, the cable must be connected to any LAN connector (usually connected to the first).
- Next, open the browser (the manufacturer recommends using FireFox or Internet Explorer) and type in the address bar: 192.168.0.1 and press Enter.
- The authorization page will open, here you need to enter the login and password to enter the device's web interface. By default, login / password is admin / admin.
- Next, go to the section MAINTENANCE subsection Firmware Update, press the button "Overview" and in the window that opens, select our new firmware file, click "Open".
- Now, to load new firmware into the router, press the button "Apply"... For the next 2-3 minutes, do not turn off the router or PC (until the update is completed).
- After completing the update procedure, you need to reboot the DIR-300. For this we choose MAINTENANCE -\u003e Save and Restore and wait for the device to restart. By the way, all the settings for connecting to the network, as well as the wireless network settings, will have to be done again.
The Dlink dir-300 wireless router is a kind of dinosaur among the routers of its class, suffice it to say that after the first model Dlink dir-300 became obsolete, various analogs of Dlink dir-300 B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7 began to appear which surpass in terms of speed and functionality of its prototype. But, in order to use additional functionality without interruption, I recommend updating your Dlink to the latest firmware, this is what this article is about.
The first step is to set up a network on a computer / laptop on automatic acquisition of IP address and DNS server
Before updating the firmware, be sure to check the hardware revision (H / W) of your router. To do this, take a look at the sticker on the bottom of the router. This sticker has an inscription that begins with "H / W Ver .:". The letter and number following it indicates the hardware revision, also pay attention to the firmware version "F / W Ver .:"
After you have determined the revision of your DIR-300 NRU and its version, download the latest firmware, according to the revision
Important!!! DO NOT install the firmware for DIR-300 NRU hardware versions B1, B2 and B3 into a DIR-300 NRU router with hardware revisions B5, B6 and vice versa. This will lead to a complete failure of your device. After that, it will be possible to restore the router only for money by contacting a specialized service center.
If you have Dlink dir-300 NRU B1 / B2 / B3, then download this firmware from here
.
If Dlink dir-300 NRU B5 / B6 / B7 then you need to download the firmware here from here
.
If you have Dlink dir-300 A / B,download the firmware from here.
In this article, as an example, I will update the Dlink dir-300 NRU firmware (hardware revision B5), but the update process for all Dlink routers is similar, therefore it may be suitable for updating the Dlink dir-300 NRU B1, B2, B3, B6, B7.
So let's start, in a browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox is recommended.), Enter your router's address in the address bar, by default it is used 192.168.0.1 (login admin, password admin)
Then, for security purposes, Dlink will offer to change the password, enter and click "Save".
This will open the router's web interface.
In order to start the update, you must go along the path "System - Software Update".
Then press "Overview" indicate the path to the downloaded update and click "Refresh".
This article will focus only on the dir300 router, revision B1. Turn the router over and look at the bottom surface, where its hardware revision will be indicated on the sticker (looking for the line H / W Ver: B1). This model differs from the older one both in appearance and in firmware version (starting from 2.00), take a close look at the photo above. The main difference between revisions A1 and B1 is the chip on which the router is based, in our case the router H / W Revision B1 and is based on the Ralink RT3050 chip. By the way, the hardware version of the dir-300NRU WiFi router is exactly the same as that of the dir-600, which is a complete analogue of 300NRU and is produced for the European zone.
D-Link DIR-300NRU Rev. WiFi router firmware B1
Installation of DD-WRT firmware on D-Link DIR-300 Revision B1 is performed through the standard web interface of the router. Further point by point:
1. Download the firmware from this site or check the newer version at http://dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database by typing DIR-300 B1 into the search. We need the file dlink-revb- factory-webflash.bin
2. We connect dir-300 with a 'straight' network cable from the kit (any of the 4 LAN ports of the router) with a computer.
In the properties of the local area network connection on the computer, set the IP address 192.168.0.15 and the subnet mask 255.255.0.0
3. Launch the browser (it is best to use IE) and go to the web interface by typing http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar
Enter the login and password, for a new router the default login is admin, there is no password (empty) and the confirmation code from the figure. If you did, please enter your passwords.
Go to the Maintenance tab and then Firmware Update, click "browse" -\u003e look for the downloaded file dlink-revb-factory-webflash.bin, click "Upload"
4. For several minutes while the DIR300 is being stitched, you cannot turn off the power and interrupt the process in every possible way. For reliability and preservation of a certain amount of nerves, I advise you to do this operation by connecting the router and computer via UPS (uninterruptible power supply).
5. After the firmware is complete, the router will reboot and become available at 192.168.1.1. Let's enter it into the address bar of the browser and see the DD-WRT web interface. If the page does not load, try clearing the browser cache, close and reopen. DD-WRT firmware login and password is root / admin.
DD-WRT version update
For a subsequent firmware update from DD-WRT, use the dir300-revb- ddwrt-webflash.bin. Download it here - or on http://dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database having driven into the search DIR-300 B1.
1. Open the DD-WRT web interface in a browser, by default it is located at 192.168.1.1
2. Select the Administration tab -\u003e click "Firmware Upgrade"
3. Next "browse" -\u003e select the downloaded file "dir300-revb-ddwrt-webflash.bin" -\u003e "Upgrade"
After a few minutes, the router will reboot and refresh the web page. I recommend that you turn off the router after the firmware and turn it on again (some kind of power reset).
Return to official firmware D-Link
Returning the official firmware is also not difficult and the execution algorithm is exactly the same as in the paragraph - "Updating the DD-WRT version". Naturally, we need to have a pre-prepared firmware file, download -. You can also download from the official FTP server D-link ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-300_NRU/Firmware/ by selecting the latest version.
Rollback to factory firmware using Emergency Room
Sometimes there are situations when it is impossible to return to the factory firmware using the method described above. In this case, we use the Emergency Room.
1. Perform a reset to factory reset, either through the DD-WRT web interface, or by pressing the reset button.
2. Remove all ethernet cables, leaving only the LAN1 connection of the router -\u003e PC. We always use the "straight" wire (blue from the kit).
3. In the properties of the computer's network adapter, write the static address 192.168.0.15, the subnet mask 255.255.0.0
4. Remove the power supply plug from the router, press the reset button, and without releasing the button, plug the power back in, wait for the router to boot for about 15 seconds and only then release the button.
5. Now quickly open the browser, enter http://192.168.0.1 and in front of us is the Emergency room. Select the firmware file dir300b_v2.05_abnj.bin and click "Upload Now".
Well, now, briefly, what is this venture with a DIR 300NRU flashing for?
The firmware is based on Linux and is a miniature operating system, there are many advanced settings that are much more logical located. Ability to cut the channel with priority by service (QoS). You can block sites by page address or simply by domain name.
